Nice usage of Copper (or is it Silver, hmm?) on this. And silly me, for a second there I almost forgot where I was coz I was gonna say that some of the samples sounded super familiar on here. And then I looked up, haha (slaps forhead). It's kind of an interesting mix because unlike so many of the other ones I've heard this one doesn't follow the same formula or use alot of the sample loops like the other people who competed did. So like the winning track, this one also takes on a life of it's own. Very cool!
As I was saying previously about 'the formula' (points out track's intro). Okies lemme shut it and let the track play through the rest of the way.

For this mix though I really respect how the artist kept everything mellow and down-tempo. Which give the track a great light and dreamy quality about it. Unlike any of the others that I've heard so far. Like I could totally see this being a part of the new Secret of NIMH movie's soundtrack. Maybe even on one of the film's trailors (shrugs). Kinda capturing that innocence and imagination of youth, ya know? Very nice stuff here. Later on!
Many thanks for all your kind words. Im stoked to be the winner.
They were all worthy of winning.......im just glad DnB made it into the spotlight........there are so many sub-genres of DnB that there is bound to be something you would like the sound of, even if you're not really a DnB fan.......could i call this track "ambistep"........??
Haha. So you did this one WhiteSands. I enjoyed it the first time and I'm enjoying it again. Disco is exactly what it is but good Disco. Very original take on the remix. I honestly never would have thought of it. Loved the rounded tones. Great arrangement.
Samuel,
I feel like I've discovered a great new artist in you. (for whatever that's worth..:P) I loved all of your regular tracks and believe it or not without realizing this was one of yours it was one of my favorites in the runner-ups. I love the glossy urban ethnic feel of the music you do. It seems slightly exotic to me which I love. Keep on arranging and composing. I'm awaiting more.
This is a good one. This was most similiar in tempo to the one I submitted but.... yours is better than mine.. Damn! Haha. Oh well. I can't win em all. Very polished and well mixed. You guys are all so good. I loved the diversity in this competition. It's amazing the variations in tracks that came out. Very good job, DJ4Real. Keep em coming and those loops too.
Very Nice MrE. I told you were talented. :P
Very New York Evening Jazz. The Sax is amazing. Sultry and smooth. This could be a background mood piece for a movie easily but it's very listenable in it's own right. A piece well done.
This is so good. The piece develops nicely and becomes a solid RnB/House piece with DnB undertones. Very polished. As good as anything I've heard. Very listenable. Very well done. Well deserved win.
Indeed, the vibe of this just stand out, ya know? Kinda catches yer attention and I think the beats worked very nicely with the keys. Congratulations mate! Later on.
