I've done a remix of one of the tracks from Bayonetta, It's on my page called "Blacklisted".
Good to see another Video Game fan in here.
As for the track, you need to work on the mixing and EQ and then bring in an element that brings it all together, it's too disjointed at the moment. Keep it up man.
I heard Bayonetta SUCKED-but thats just what G4 said :p

I would suggest you give the main melodies a bit of delay. This way it fills the track a bit more. Try a 3 or 4 step setting and see how it fits, or just experiment. Delays are a great way to add fullness to a track from very simple instruments and I think this one will benefit greatly. Also, a little bit of reverb on the hats, snare (clap) and melodies to create a sense of space. The kick feels a little overpowering in consideration to the rest of the instruments...give it a small reduction so it balances out a bit.
I also did not hear a bassline on this one which may explain why I sensed the kick to be a bit prominent. Add a basic one to fill in the bottom-end, a good try/test would be to use the same notes (the first few notes) of the synth line that comes in like an arpeggio (7s) and let that section play on the c3 range or so. And possibly hear the results and change a few notes.
It is a little short, but it is expected as it is a first one. My very first track was about the same length as well, and much less complex than this one.
Keep up the great work.
I don't think I will be trying it anytime soon, but maybe one day...thanks alot for the tips!!!
