but im curious why you layered a kick on top of the 808, because that 808 already has a tight enough transient and doesnt need a kick on top of it

I really like the chord progression you've got going on here. The overall vibe I'm getting is kind of spacey vibe, which I like. Like you said, the drums could definitely be improved.
