Love this.. Your vocals are wonderful, this reminds me a lot of Patrick Watson's Luscious life and his feature on Cinematic Orchestra's 'To Build A Home'. Unfiltered emotion, simple catchy melody. Would love to hear more of this, and curious about your recording method of this? I bet this could really shine with a little production polish (not so much that it loses it's raw unplugged style) but it could benefit from some multitracking. I do love the ambient sound design I'm hearing way in the background and I feel it should be more present. You've got a real ear for this sound, hoping to hear more, and thanks for sharing!

My recording method is literally just putting my phone down on my amp or on the floor and just playing the guitar and singing lol. I bought some things that could help with recording and making the final product more polished, so hopefully the next song will sound a little bit better :) Thanks for the kind words friend
dude you don't understand the manhunt I just went on to find this song. Someone named "i died yesterday." uploaded this to spotify like forever ago and i used to listen to it all the time and then it disappeared one day. i couldn't find it anywhere and i actually got in contact with the spotify support team and from there i was able to see that you were listed as an artist on that song and I tried to message you on soundcloud but it wouldn't let me. but here it is. i found it
bro, please reupload this to spotify or soundcloud or something as the original artist, LoyaSauce. people on looperman will try to pass this off as their own but this is actually legendary work bro, you should put it out to the world on a platform where we can follow you and listen
Man you have no idea how much that means to me haha. It's crazy that people are trying to play off my music as their own, but i guess that's what happens when you upload on looperman lol. In terms of soundcloud, I've forgotten my email and password to that stuff a looooong time ago, but a buddy and I plan on making a demo tape and releasing it onto soundcloud sometime in October 2024, I'll send u the link on the other comment you posted on this track when it's finished. hope you stick around :)
Nice! I like the rawness / unplugged sound of the track, and I also I like your vocal and melody structure of the song. I would agree with Eric in terms of being closer to the microphone and eliminating the background noise source. Other than that it's a nice song keep working on it.
I appreciate the kind words :) My recording method is pretty much just setting my phone down next to my amp and singing at the same time lol I managed to buy some cables and stuff so that I can plug my mic and guitar directly into my laptop, so hopefully the next song I make will be more crisp ;) thanks a bunch
i am in love with that guitar, man. i think the mix suits the theme and the performance connects and resonates with me. i’m jealous in fact. what a good track, man!
Your guitar playing is fine. Unfortunately your mic is a bit rusty and something is resonating too much so that it's really hard to hear your lyrics - which is a shame because from what I hear I think you have a really nice voice!
Consider recording in 2 tracks: one for the guitar, one for the vocal, then mixing it, and make sure you have sufficient distance from the mic (or your iPhone or whatever you used) so you don't overload it.
I think it's a really sweet song and in order to ensure people hear it sometimes it helps to pay some attention to those details ;)
Good luck buddy, you clearly have the musicality!
This means a lot to me. I literally just set my phone down on my amp and hit record while also singing, so using two tracks could be beneficial for the next stuff I work on. Thanks for the advice!
Great movie, had it on videotape years ago. The music here is a nice representation of the feel of the soundtrack at certain times in the movie. Nicely constructed piece!
Nice build and intricate layers. That marimba type sound gives it a slight African vibe to me at least. Nice lows in there too. Wasn't expecting the coda at the end.
