When the sax came in I was blown away. That along with the Eastern feel and that trippy drum beats all seemed to work together nicely. Just an awesome musical journey!! Hope to hear some more new tunes soon! Fav and dl!
I love the brass here and the layers of instruments coming in. It's great hearing real instruments... makes me want to get in a band again! Very atmospheric.
To me this has an Eastern feel, but one that's been filtered through East Africa on its way south. Though it's got a very Western, electronic sensibility to the rhythm, there's definitely other influences coming from the foundation. Especially the marimba or xylophone that slides in and out of it. Personally, I think it makes this even better as a track. I really like how the sax and wicked bass turn it into its own unique piece - very original without being 'weird.' Nice one, I have to check out more of your work.
Thanks. We'll be posting other tracks from the album (is something that doesn't get released an 'album' ?) on the site. I sent your comments through to Luke in Cape Town - its a cool place by the way.
Thanks brother. I have to confess that it took a shedload of time to put together, and a trip to a recording studio, which costs bucks of course. Its sometimes worth it though, just to hear a tune of yours in a different location.
very nice track
the sax and change kind of came from left feild but i mean that in a good way.
i can tell from you uploaded sampled that your a very skilled bass player and from this track your very skilled producer too
