Damn! This is a killer flow and a N18th beat, perfection. Then the line towards the end "and me I got no five mics, only this one track and still I give it my life", that was just the icing on the whole track. Just an amazing track and flow. As far as the mix, I think more a personal preference would be to raise the vocals a few db. Not too much that it over shadows the beat. Other than that, I loved all the verses SpitShine. Respect for both you guys. Hope to see another collab in the future.
Finally some input on the mix, lol, thank you.. yhea i'm def going to re-mix this if i do somthing with, glad thats all that seems off to you, an easy fix... I guess i was just psyching myself out, we are our own worst critics are'nt we... Thank you for the review..
WHEW!!!! this is dope as hell! Man you got sick ass sound, makes me want to rap. Keep it up man, very nice track, I really want to get somebody on this track with you, maybe like tizzle, estae, or KMY would be Ill, like a remix, keep it up man, once again you did it justice, peace
N18th

Also would you mind if i used this version on a mixtape with all beat credits going to you of course??? Alot of cats round canada could get a chance to hear your ishh.. Lemme know...

Hey whats up homie!!! Thanks for the review!!!! Im glad you enjoyed it!!! i got a myspace but to be honest i never go on there no more... well rarely i should say, so you got the heads up on that, pretty much the only place you can hear my ish online right now is here... but here it is anywayz :P
Feelin this track for sure......nice way to utilize the beat with the flow, great change ups while providing awesome aesthetics with the beat. Line on the final verse is sick and defines your style :"dont have five mics just this one track but i give it me whole life" grimmy as f@*k, cool laid back track and n18th has the dopest ish.
stay up
Thanks for the review!!! Yhea, i knida went off the reg flow i developed for this beat on that third verse, try n push a lil more in!!! Im happy ou enjoyed it!!
skateboard video right here! nice and dramatic! I used to skateboard back in high school so i gotta ton of skate vids and i think this would be perfect music for a vid like that.
lmfao gud thing u aint enter ur own comp cuz dat def wld not have bin fair!!! i luv da way u pt dis together and da reverb on da whole track gives off a great sound i must say well dun my freind well dun!!!!
hahaha, thanks for the review QT, i was starting to think this beat was not so good... haha, i know i was'nt sure if i should upload but thought hey what the hell, lol... Glad u liked it!!!
I tz sumthing that sum1 can spit on; but i feel u on da movie tip, but i think it would be more incorprated into an intence scean i da moive instead of da trailer(unless it's a long a$$ 1) lol ... it'z tight thouh...
Beautiful. I really enjoyed listening to it. I like the swells in the string that crescendo then cut back. I really like the splash cymbals in the build.
You seem to have a long block of silence at the end of the song, from about 2:20 onward. It's about to just go batshit crazy awesome then cuts out, leaving me sad and without the awesome music that was playing... also, when was the last time anyone used the word "awesome"? It's a good word, but I think it died in the early 90s.
I love Awsome!!! Aswome is Awsome!!! Thank you for the great review!! thank you for pointing that out i hadnt even noticed the dead space at the end of the track!!!!! Ooops :S Thanks Again man appreciate it!!
this some humpin music right here lol i get my hump on to this daily! lol in all seriousness the beat is tight. you are pretty much always good with the chillin style beats.
hey, man, dizzy again, just wanted to tell you, i reviewed a track of bigpete and wanted to tell him, to check out your page, because i thought he could like your music, then i realized you reviewed the same track as me........crazy!!!
now i came here to leave this message....then i realized, he reviewed this track here, .......man, i'm a little stoned, but this is a little scary!!! Musical brothers!! like bigpete said!!
Hahaha, U do know we family now right!?!?!?!
big ups mang, i needed that too... i been backstabbed by ALOT of artists i've worked with in the past and for a long time, just over a year, i was so fed up about it i almost quit music, but didnt instead i just worked by myself and kept all my tunes stashed no one heard em except my gurl... Thhhennn, this day came where i was missing that part of music, the whole sharing passion and feeding off other artists drives to keep myself motivated and excited... that day, something led me to this site... it didnt take long for me to realize what i had been missing out on, and man, thats thanks to you... u know, i hate to sound corny, but you been helpin alot without knowing... guetting a lil "Joy De Vivre" back in my life... Thank you
your a friend
an influence
and a brother to me now...
And yes as soon as i can scrape some time 2gether you will b the first i go to for a collab... Cant wait!!
First love the Bio, and I'm 50 and just decided to share my creations so please share, and this is a great place to do it people listen, love the track, the procuction sounds intense like the mood of the track, I think creating the mood for a track is a lot about arrengments here it works, wish there was more of it, great intro lead me into a great beat but it does feel done half way, you lead us somewhere and then leave us there and we feel kind of lost, maybe thats the sense you wanted to create, but I want more.
You know what i completely agree, i should definatly have gone somewhere else after the drop!!!
I guess i figured if it were to be used for a promo or trailer it would be guetting faded out shortly after the break, so i didnt dwell on it too much, but thhis is very true. i like how you worded that too, you know your stuff alright!!!
Thank you for you honest review, i appreciate it alot, And keep up the good work!!!
i like this alot bro its a good flowing song... if you wanted my input id say try and tweak it out by distinguishing the sounds a lil bit morebut shit man its deff a phat beat.. good job - gotti
this is nice homie I like the violins and the snap and clap sounded good the only thing I think maybe the bass need to bang more but keep up the good work God Bless
hi, spit, its me again, ....you kicked my ass with this one!!! especially, how the strings came in!!! but man, please tell me: which equipment u use? How you make this deep, bassy sound quality? i think i could use your tips and tricks!!!
hey what up dizzy, thanks for comin to peep the new ish an all, i appreciate it...
as far as what i use, for beats i use reason 3.0, reason 4 is out now but havent got my hands on it yet...
that and protools i use to chop up my samples and record my vocals...
As far as my dark bassy sounds, to be honest i dont even know, i eq all my tracks and just try to find that sound... best advice i could give you i think, is dont be afraid to fuck something up, there is always the undo button :P that being said, just play with the sound you have till your sattisfied, eventually you will know how to get exact sound you want...
Another lil secret trick i do sometimes, haha this is the first time i spill these beans, but hey, this is why we have looperman!!!
What i do is will take the same sample and run it on three or four different tracks, theeeen, throw an eq on an of them and assign each one a section of frequencies, for example
track 1: low freqs
track 2: Mid-Low Freqs
Track 3: Mid-High Freqs
Track 4: High Freqs
then all you have to do is cue in different sections of frequencies at fifferent times and that one lil sample just turned into a whole beat that is constantly changin!!!! hope this helps!!!
definitley going onto my favorites love the somber sound of the vocal sample accompanied by the strings to provide emotion to an ample drum track,
am interested in the comp you have posted on the forum ill drop a post on there.
keep them beats radiating
i like it man, i like it alot. you didn't over-do it like a lot of people tend to do sometimes. i love strings in hip hop beats, and the reverb on the snaps and claps sounds great. keep it up
I live for this old skool type shit. It really captures the true essence of hip hop. I especially like the little hook, got a Pete Rock NYC feel to it. Thanks for sharing!
