marvellous!!!
about the solo: well, it's very hard to play perfect soli at very slow tempo, I think all you have to do is to wait for the perfect mood to record it, cause it's a matter of the right emotion ...
my first thought when the song started was: this would be the perfect track for a line-up with acoustic guitars, violin, cello and piano ... if you have any chance to try it - do it!!
This is another great bit. The harmonies remind me a little of Alice in Chains, believe it or not. A touch happier perhaps. Still very moving and a lot of fun to listen to. I listen to your tracks all the time. You have definitely one over a peer, I am a commited fan at this point. Awesome. Peace, Six
I have not checked out your stuff in a little while, and here I see two "new" songs. This song has a very cool, relaxed sound happening. It is very easy to see a few people sitting in a room playing together (tell me there is a fireplace? haha). I am a big fan of your style. I really appreciate it's deceptive simplicity, pretty melodic elements and the warmth it all evokes. Keep it coming friend...if you ever want some bluesy/jazzy/rock-y lead guitar on anything let me know. It would be an honor to be involved with one of your projects. Peace and love, Six
What a lovely true performance!........sometimes the beauty of a simple unencumbered backing can be overlooked in favour of a more modern fuller sound these days........I think this really is excellent!..the full timbre of your voice comes out splendidly and gives it a very personal touch...if you've got something to say and can articulate it as well as this...the jobs well and truly done....I'm not saying this song wouldn't benefit from a bigger broader production....I just like it the way it is....super work!...cheers planet
I agree with you, this one and "She's lika a river" are my favourites too ...
and this track is just perfect ...
so there's nothing more to say ... I'll keep listening over and over ... lol
I know this song for over six months now (got it from your myspace ...) and I still love it ... (btw: I also love the remix ...)
it's time to tell you that ... lol
Great vocals and guitar playing!! That guitar has a sweet tone man!! What make is it??? I have a gibson epiphone and a washburn..i cant play that well tho.!!
This stuff just gets better! Your sound will never date, it will always sound great and fresh. You simply can't beat real instruments and vocals 10/10. Mix is super as is the arrangement and the writing. This is mega! Cheers Slap...
It must get redundant when everyone is saying all the same stuff. Let me just say that this is a nice surprise in contrast with the other three songs that you have here. I try to have some diversity in what I do and I think you have done a fine job here expanding yourself. Peace and love, Six
I'm with Rei...don't know where else to go...what a pretty song...Your presence on this site increases the talent level of the whole site. Peace and love, Six
I really like "She's Like A River". It's possibly my favorite song from this site. Now I have another. I like this song a lot. Very pretty and fantastic vocals. I think it's great. Not sure what else to say. Keep utilizing your talents. Peace, Six
Great song my friend. Pretty arrangement, solid playing and great vox. Open G-tuning capoed at like the 3rd or 4th fret perhaps? Really brilliant stuff. Peace and love, Six
Hiya six, Thanks for the review. This track actually uses standard tuning capoed quite high at the sixth fret. one guitar picking around the standard chords of G,G/C and D for the verse. The other guitar plays higher inversions and harmony. The other songs, Australia and Move both use the tuning DGDGBD. Thanks again. Papa.
man, it's been a while since you uploaded your last track and you made my day with uploading a new one!!
"She's like a river" is the best song I ever found here, and it's an essential part of my daily way to work ...
and this one is almost on the same level ...
I dig your playing, your vocal work is just perfect ... it's only topped by your amazing talent in writing songs ...
you are an incredible musician!!!
