WOW FILA!! Kicking some wood indeed!! Brugh you put it down on this track like a back-woods-baptist-preacher, drinking a glass of koolaid on a sunny Mississippi day! LOL, great job to you and Randall882. The Slap Johnson harmonica loop edits were off tha chain! Enjoyed this most diffidently, fav'd no doubt.
Very nice work Fila, those drums all most sound live. I see you're working in a new genre and have pulled it off most nicely. Very fun and lively track and I enjoyed it very much. If the comp hasn't ended yet, then good luck to you. Peace,
This Reminds me of the old school Disco Vibe, My only real critisim is to add some rev crashes and othe filler sfx, like some sweeps and smick. Athough great work groovy!
Hey cool!..not enough blues on the Loop!..you can never have enough blues and that's a fact..this has got a great feel..sort of Chicago like.(though I'm no expert)..it's all cooking along nicely...you'd swear this was a live recording coming from some cool club somewhere..great job..long live the Blues!...cheers planet :)
nice use of the loops here, i have it too and made a beat with it, was also thinking it was a house type but my drums are no where close to urs. ur bass line is tight too.
nice work.
Just want to jump in and say this was a fun tune to collab on..
Actually this is my first collab basically. I just don't have much time to do this. It takes me usually a month or longer to put out 1 tune because I work so much.
A special thanks to Slap and Fila for letting me jump in on this one.
After listening to it more, I wish I would have put more slide guitar into it. But there is always another time.
Wowza, well cool! You have arranged this one perfectly 10/10. It's great to hear this level of work here on looperman, I have to congratulate you and Randall on a sterling job...
Hey Slap thanks for listening and the favorable comments. Also thanks for posting all those harmonica loops. I got them all so another Harmonica tune will be out in the future! Randall882 did take this baby up several notches!! Thanks for the review and your youtube video was awesome!! Fila
Not only great playing but awesome arrangements of the slap harmonica samples. I really liked how every instrument got time to shine on it's own and in the context of other instruments. Great track. Kudos to all involved.
Very nice jazz/blues track. I like very much the overall sound and the mix . Very professionally done. Congratulations ! I'll also listen to the rest of your tracks for sure
Glad you enjoyed this track and thanks for the review!! Glad you are going to listen to some of my other tracks there are a couple of bluesy tunes in there- I will also be checking some of your other tracks! Thanks Again!

Ah, Barry's competiton song. I am supposed to do something with this too as I downloaded all the tracks awhile back.
I'll take a different direction, just not sure...maybe more a Blues theme.
I like what you did with it. The intro was very nice. I've never done any tune 5 minutes long, so it will be a challenge to come up with some cool stuff.
I like all the different instruments, flute, trombone, etc.
fiLA MY MAN..YOU HIT IT ON THE SPOT...WOW..NICE FLUTES,TRUMPET,PICCOLO,SAX..WITH YOUR AWSOME BACKGROUND..SO MANY SOUNDS AND THINGS GOIN ON HERE...YOU REALLY DID A HELL OF A JOB..OH NOW SHES CRYING..IM LISTENING WHILE I WRITE..GOD ITS BEAUTIFULL..WHAT CAN I SAY..hOW MANY TRACKS I WONDER YOU ENDED UP WITH..wHERE CAN I HEAR SOME OF THE TRACKS OF THE CONTEST YOU TOLD ME ABOUT..pEACE dVIBE
Hey Bro thanks for the review and comments glad you enjoyed this. The backgroud was produced by Barry Morgan for the competition. go to competition in the forums and the link "new contest there you can find the links to the other entries. Again thanks for the positive coments! Fila
Thnaks the the listen and review and glad you enjoyed this one. Going to work on Part III where every body get finished eating that fried chicken then we really gonna kick some wood on that Front Porch!! LOL Fila
Awe Man, you went somewhere great with this track Fila. In a word? Excellent! Love that opening, love the flute & trombone, just a great adaptation all together. Oh boy, I'm really gonna have to work harder now lol. D
Hey Bro thanks for taking the time to review and listen! Was trying to put this together with instruments that you don't hear as much. The ending was the day in full swing with few every day sounds you you might hear with the day in full swing. Thnaks for the listen and comments Fila
The ocean sounds at the beginning are a great touch, and that flute is gorgeous. I liked it more and more with every time you brought it in. I loved the runs you were doing with it by the end; they fit very well.
I'm not huge on the horn you used, particularly the first time you brought it in. It might work better if you record it playing a bit louder and mix it down instead of trying to play it quietly? It came off a bit separated and a bit too... I don't know, staccato? It doesn't quite have as much expression as the flute, and I feel like it might just a really simple fix to bring it out more.
The end effects caught me off guard, but I liked them. Great track.
Nice intro, it really sets the flavour! What I like more than anything is this tracks authenticity, I mean it sounds spot on. Who needs effect laden tracks, when you can have this true piece of real music, played by a bluesman... Respect! May see you down at the crossroads...
Hey Slap thanks for the review and coments and thanks for posting them loops!! That was part two. The last part wil be them gus finish eating then really kick them slab on the porch. lol Thanks again! Fila
Awe sulky, sulky now! (lol) another nice track from tha player. I'm shocked that you didn't go with the old-school R&B bassline on this track. The vocalist is great, and I like the song writing as well. I enjoyed it, great job peace. D
Hey Bud thanks for the listen and review! The original was lost long ago with the bass and synths and was upbeat! Did it over with just the keyboard and singer!! Man those were the good ole days for me!! Just a looper now LOL Take care thanks again!!
P.S. If I am not mistaken wasn't the Dells (Stay in my Corner) the first Record on AM to break the 3 minute barrier I think the song ran for 3:07 or 3:14 (Just a ole school fact) LOL Fila
You have a very good ear for arranging. Was reading some of your influences and most of them are mine as well. No wonder your tracks are rooted in what I call the real deal music realm. I see you got the meters on your list, man those brothers are too funky for words. I was just listening to a track by them the other night entitled "Funkafie Your Life." Funk and percussion oozing all over that track, too damn funky. As one bass player to another, excellent job bro. Had to fav & download this track as well, peace. D
Again thanks for the listen and review!! Glad you enjoyed this one!! Any one that mentions "The Meters" knows we are talking bout some nasty percussion/Bass --Yea - getting ready to cross that 60yr dash line -- you know I go back to the day of the Transistor Radio LOL To me it was all good music with a basic structure with many a hit at 3 minutes or less. Think I will pull out "Sissy STRUT" and give a listen - might set off some good vibes!!! Thanks again
Sweet Track!! Solid construction, great composition, very nice melody & arrangement. All around stellar production, faved & downloaded for sure. Great job, peace. D
Thanks for listening and the review!! This one was a challenge just find the right loops to get a flow going! I will make more comments in your other review> Thanks!!
The Fila man got funk and jazz also !! foot-tapping stuff. Love the groove you have on here with loads of energy. I defy anyone not to sit still when listening to this !!
Hey bud thanks for stoping by and taking a listen!! As I told someone else started out as a fun song when my niece asked me if I could rapp!! SO I came up with this Funky WRAPP LOL Take care
nice, the thing is that's what they say about me..uhh..usually...until i leave..ha. i love youre stuff man... i really like the fact that you include vocals (at least a few words) in most of your tracks.... keeps the listener focused i find...keep it up!!
