Not my usual taste, i like dubstep but feel like this is closer to complextro or something. May not be my taste but respect the production damn! some amazing sounds in there, dont know if your a sound designer or if you your using presets e.c.t

If your a sound designer then - this shit is fire -tips hat-
If your using presets e.c.t then you've got a great ear for what works well!

    Awesome work!

Thank you! I made all these sounds myself. It's not really a Dubstep tune, i think it's closer to halftime Drum & Bass, but i'm still not sure what genre this would be categorized as.

Hey man, first...i love this track...its got SO much energy u could power a planet with it!! Second you put this together so nicely....some parts i wanna move my feet, some parts i wanna smash stuff.... ;)
I listened to it in my studio 3-4 times and i gotta say i think my neighbors hate you now.... and that is a HUGE compliment.
oh yeah if youre looking for the "type" of D&B that this is...i would suggest looking up "crossover" or "skullstep" if you werent trying to make that kind of music well congrats because i think you nailed it by mistake.
As for the mastering problem....the only thing i can offer is that i used to go full out on all levels when i was producing tracks...so it would drive the bass into the listeners brain, what i found out playing my tracks live and having people play them on their own systems for me is that if you turn the loudest bass down by even a little bit (if its on a vol level of 8, lower it to a 6 and see how it sounds) itll cut out the huge punch that scares peoples system and make them want to turn it up even louder !! and we all want someone to reach over during our track and yell "Turn It UP!!" at least that way its up to them to blow their system and they cant blame us lol.
think about it...it might work for you

Thanks, Mike! The drum pattern is inspired by the one in Current Value - Strange Peace, and that's a skullstep track. I was going for a dark, yet danceable track, with some skullstep elements, but i wanted to leave some room for basses and synths instead of completely filling it with drums and a sub bass. And thanks for the mastering tip. I'll definitely try that out on my newer tracks. I've always found it really tempting to make the main bass sound really loud, so it stands out more.

Woah there's a lot going on in this track and I like it very much. What type of drum n bass is this classified as? Would like to hear more of this type. The song structure is great and the way everything sits is also very nice. My one critic on this would probably be the loudness. In certain parts the track gets really loud and I had to turn my speakers down. Other than that nice one!

Thanks! I'm not exactly sure what type of DnB this would be called, but it was inspired by the drum pattern at 1:48 in 'Current Value - Strange Peace' and the bass sound at 0:44 in 'Posij - Hunger'. So maybe that's the kind of DnB you're looking for. Also, could you give me some tips on mastering tracks? I've been struggling with this for a long time now, and sometimes it results in my track sounding bad on some systems, and sometimes it's just too loud.

dude nice sound where you get that sound that kicks in on 0:44?

It's a reese bass i made in Reason 9.5. I made it by letting 4 sligthly detuned sawtooth waves play the same note, and distorting it in several ways (i used tape/tube/overdrive distortion). I also put tremolo on it to give it a wobbling effect. I exported the sound, and did a little waveshaping and compression in LMMS to make it more agressive. Finally, i EQ'd it and gave it a little boost in the 125-500 Hz and 8-16 kHz range to make it stand out.

I'm a huge fan of drum n bass tracks and i have to say I wasn't disappointed. This track brings a unique vibe to the drum n bass genre and I can respect that. It may be unique but it still kept the overall sound one looks for while listening to drum n bass tracks. It gave me the feeling of those old drum n bass tracks that I love so dearly.

    Awesome work,
Thanks for sharing it with us!

man, i'm really diggin this track. i see what subSpace is saying, all you have to do is turn down the levels a bit, just take it out of the red-line and let the listener crank it up as loud as they want on their end. That way when people want to crank it up, and you know they do, they won't blow their speakers because of you instead they'll blow their speakers because they love the track ;)
anyways good track, i'll be looking for more in the future
    Peace

I really like the track between 2:00 and 3:20, especially the break and there ambient-drone. Good job.

But before and after that there are a lot of different sounds. I think something less would be good and the track can breathing.

your drum loops are very dry and the whole overall track make these seem low after the drop. the tune i like not bad not bad at all i also make dnb neurofunk on here. work on those drum patterns and this track will be killer i hope to see an update soon.
