This is a decent piece. I have to agree with Evisma. Overall, it's a good tune, but the guitars don't quite fit. I think with the nature of this track being heavier in emotion, and low end, you probably could have played the guitars an octave, or even two, lower. At least the chugs in the beginning. Up until the 3:00 mark, anyhow. As far as the solo goes, like Evisma said, it did sound improvised. Or even a last minute decision from being caught up in the excitement of having a nearly finished track. I think the solo that comes in at 3;06 should be played slower with more deliberation, and restraint. With the orchestral backdrop being so massive and "heavy" this solo is too choppy. I'll leave a link here for you to check out as a rough example. Even if you don't like metal, this is a good example, because the band is nothing but massive and epic. Skip ahead to the 7:10 mark for the solo I'm talking about. Notice how it glides so effortlessly across the top of everything. I mean, for all intents and purposes, you have basically made a metal style song. There's just no drop D, or open A tuned guitars, or blast beat drums. lol, when I listened to it, I replaced all the instruments with metal guitars. (after listening to metal for 30+ years, it's just kind of how my brain works now!), and the feel is very similar.
Keep in mind, this is all just suggestions, and my opinions. Do with it what you will. It's pretty clear that you were going for a heavier, and epic piece. That's right up my alley, so I get excited to share my opinions, hopefully I didn't bombard you.
Here is the link. It's a band called Nile, the song is User-Maat-Re.
Wow you got me peged. I did add the solo guitars at last minute. made the song and it sounded like it was missing something so I had my friend record some on the fly. not used to working with guitars. not always sure if it sound good or not till I get feedback. I welcome the advice and feedback always. helps me improve. I'm going to work on adjusting these spots. as for the reveb. sometimes I have trouble with that. I usually use an echo with the reverb. the level is what I have trouble with. thank you so much for the advice.
MindHiest - great to hear from you and loving your channel on here. The video link is below but it says html not allowed so it may get removed, in which case search for "maxxuk mindhiest" on youtube.
The video is also on Instagram in my account "malcolm_edeson"
sorry for the delay response. feel free to use just put a small credit in for me. thank you for the comment. check out my other works, they are mainly cinematic. I would love to see the video.
sounds great, very dramatic - reminds me a bit of a band called Yello - well worth a look! and has Jean michelle Jarre and Mike Oldfield influences in there. What more could you want!?
I like this quite a bit. Wishing the first half was as loud and clear as the second. The guitar solo is pretry quiet, but really, the solo sounds kinda sloppy and needs to be hidden. Sounded improvised and could be made much better with some planning. Overall, I dig it. Good feel throughout.
I did kinda rush it. after steping back I do hear the inconsitancy in sound of the solo. I will work on that new at the guitar production. have a lot to learn. thank you so much.
dramatic, and epic. great work!
Great Mix of Guitar and strings. I love till 3:55 then the ending is like a dark icing on the chorus laden sad piano cake.
awesome work.

I think epic is the right word for this one.
The solo guitar could sound a little more destroyed but that's only my opinion .....
I really enjoyed the listen cause the song and also the mix is very well.

the only idea is at the end of the solo part is too abrupted, I mean it's a fade out kinda thing but it should be longer for my taste...
But the song on it's whole is epic...
