your timing of music with video is excellent. i like the moment when the girl tells us to stay quiet. creepy that moment of a woman rocking an empty crib. beautiful writing.
thank you. the video was fun to make. some of the videos were stock videos and 2 were on you tube. I put credits to the producers on you tube. when I created the piece I felt I needed to put a visual to it.
This is really cinematic above all....can't be any other genre. When I listened to the track it was giving me constant feeling like there was a TV set switched on the movie channel somewhere near by, only that I couldn't see it. Grat atmosphere, masterfully composed and produced. The acompanied video is nice, but I prefer to listen to this without the video, so I can create my own images in my mind. Bottom line...excellent work!:)
Thank you. I kinda like making the darker side. although this probably wasn't that dark. I agree about the video it is always better to use your own inmaginings. makes the music more personal. the video was an after thought and I had fun making it.
I love this type of music. You did a great job delivering that mystic effect & capturing the mind. I'll watch the video a little later in the day when I have time. Great Production! Keep it up. Also, check out some of my tracks when you get a chance & leave some feedback please. I'd really appreciate it.
thank you for the comment. I love doing this kind of music. plus cinematic can encompass many styles so it is open for creative ideas and hybrid mixes. I will be checking out your work. had already heard "Boss up" and was impressed.
no I guess not. working on one that has a sound of mystery, with a hint of dark. when I post it would love to hear what you think. still a little epic, can't seem to get off that train. thank you for you comment.
Nice composition, interesting as it builds throughout the song. I'm not a big fan of long songs but this cinematic piece had my attention all the way. I wish it had some compression put on it as it would bring out more intensity and power as it builds but the idea is there and it's a good one.
Thank you Wayne. I usually keep them in the under 5 min range, this one just begged me to keep going. On the compression, I have not used it before. I will add some on the first part. not sure how to use compression so I will play with it. advice always welcome and take in. thank you.
Im feeling this shit heavy. I love me some cinematic shit and this one really does convey a strong feeling reminiscent of some epic feature. And i def can see what your saying about the mind of a evil villain. However i get the feeling that this is about two characters, one good one evil, perhaps in the grips of a bitter rivalry that has been building in its intensity, growing in its need for some sort of resolution. I see the two characters each in their respective environment training for a fight, or building some sort of device/weapon to defeat the other. It could be applied to some sort of lord of the rings like saga with the montage showing the two armies training and getting ready for the climatic battle. Or it could just as easily fit in the form of a pair of boxers or fighters training in the gym and preparing for the big fight that would decide more then just who wheres the belt. Well done
I like this! You've got a nice palette of sounds here that you're working with. The arrangement is good. Your wubbs and your dubbs are fluid. Meaning none of them sound jammed in just to be there, or as fillers.
There are a couple things that need some adjusting. Mainly just volume levels. Super easy fixes. There are a couple parts where the vocals just get LOUD, then back to normal. A few of the synth wubs jump way out too.
A little tip for the drums. In dubstep, they layer the snares. (and kicks. But I'm speaking only of your snare right now.) Usually with a clap, then add reverb. Other than that, the drums are good. Nice and clear, up front in the mix, and fully audible.
It sounds like you have some delay on the vocals, you might try adding a little reverb to those as well. The only reason I suggest that, is because of how spacious the rest of the song is. They don't sound secured. From my standpoint, anyhow. A little reverb would blend the edges of the vocals right into the track.
Overall, mister, this is a great piece. Just a few super minor adjustments, and it could be a top notch one.
thank you. this isn't my genre but I am facinated with dub step. I love the slow but powerful beats and the deep rich bass.I usually do cinematic pieces(which can cover many genres). I did notice the levels also but wasn't sure. agian thank you for the feedback.
