I really appreciate this genre of electronic listening music which has its noble origins in artists such as Jean Michel Jarre and Vangelis. Your piece is pathicly appreciable because it blends elements of this great tradition with others that are decidedly more current.
Well glad to hear you liked and appreciated the song. But
to answer your question. No i didn't play the stringed instruments myself. It was a high quality sample i gathered a long time ago that i used for that track.
I must say its prety interesting to listen to this song. It gave me a lil of the 80s synthesizer music era vibes. Which i can appreciate greatly. Sure has been a while since i heard a track like this one. But i do like it. Gave me some fond memories of the past. Also the synthesizer era was also one of the motivators for me in making and creating music. So yeah a solid track. And i really like it. So a job well done indeed. Keep up the good work. Keep on listening and creating. I might even at this one to my favs for its uniqueness. And in the name of fond memories.
Hey Verdiqo thanks for the comment i think i must be set to 80s in my head even though i dont try to be it comes out that way. I like all genres of music and as i get older try to keep an open mind and explore them. Keep up the good work i was just listening to your Emerald Isle track which is super i was wondering do you play the stringed instruments. Peace out Robbie.
Garren , Thanks for the comment i checked out you tracks some nice stuff going on there man you are also into the ableton that is one big mama to get a hold of i am still wrestling with it. music makes the world go round Robbie
Robbie, nothing short of spectacular work here. I absolutely love folk music - used to attend the annual old time fiddlers festival in Shoshone, Wyoming and I would hear music similar to this. Great stuff, great lyrics, great guitar work, great song. Great job!!!!! I really enjoyed this one. Thanks for posting. I hope all is well.
Hey Bear you made me smile i had almost forgotten about this track i stay in Austria now being a far travelled Scot i dont think ill be going to Scotland anytime soon but i also love folk and bluegrass and the blues. I miss the old bar folk nights i used to go to every week too much beer but i miss the music and the camaraderie :)
Robbie, I don't know how the heck I missed your music up to this point. That's the bad news. The good news is I discovered you and now have a new favorite to listen to. I love jazz and this one is just off the chain good. Terrific keyboard work from start to finish. Best of luck with the heart surgery. This getting old sucks :) Anyway, I'm going to head off and give another of your tunes a listen. Really well done. I hope all is well.
Very smooth. The high energy rhythm with the mellower melodies is a nice pairing. The variations make it super interesting. The ending section makes me think of Riders on The Storm. The percussion is excellent. There is a nice blend of organic and machine drums. Great track.
