New to producing, I'll go easy... Hmm.. I like... Very fucking good, I was expecting trash but I'm pleasantly surprised.. I would add some filter effect on the hats in places like 2:24.. For the length of time you've been at it I'm impressed, I'm looking forward to hearing more :)
Hi Stella, nice sound here, the mix sounds ok considering you are quite new to the game. I also use Ableton live and it seems that they have really upped their game in the live 9 compared to the 7 that i was previously using. Any music lessons you can get especially keyboard would be a great advantage, and there are also thousands of free lessons on You tube on everything from mastering to EQ ing. Have fun and keep at it!
I really like the intro. Almost gives you this Queasy vertigo feeling leading up to the track core. Builds really nicely with the drums and percussion layers and yet keeps a nice groove. 1:19 we get a change with the same synths but now some staccato percussion, I like this. 1:56 a break and then some obligitory 90s snares. And then it goes on for a bit and ends. I like the build it shows great promise, but I wanted to hear more diversity or a new change as the song progressed. you were doing that in the beginning but I think by the mid point we needed some harder sounds and more arrangement to drive home this d & B song. But all in all for 6 mos out your are doing a fine job and keep at it, you have some really cool ideas in the beginning of this track! I will be paying attention
