I was impressed with how the same beat pattern could produce such a different impression with a melody change and the removal of the "dominant" snare. I had to include both versions somehow -- thus an intro was born. I appreciate the comments.
I don't play an instrument, but I am a bit familiar with quantization (like a CAD snap option). GarageBand does it for me, but I kind of prefer when the melody lags behind the beat. Just my preference in hip hop. Thanks for the listen.
Yeah, I typically complete a track based on the vocals, but since I don't have any, I didn't want to add so much that a singer couldn't make use of his/her imagination. Thanks for the listen.
very cool vibe here, lots of emotions and feelings in this 2 mins...though that snare kinda thing is over volumed on my humble opinion...but just sayin...
Favealicious. I appreciate a great beat that starts pulling out lyrics from deep in your throat, especially one with some structure to it, spaces for verses and choruses laid out on the sonic landscape. Would you any objection to my playing around with lyrics for this and seeing what happens? Great stuff.
No objections; I do this for the fun of, and hearing a completed version would be fulfilling. I apologize, I'm pretty seriously an amateur at this, but I'd be happy to try to help with customizations if needed. Otherwise, you might reach out to the guy who made the original sample. Either way, feel free to use it however you'd like.
I was conflicted on this one; I love variation, but I got caught in the gravity of it and I could scarcely stop listening to it long enough to think about things to add. Thanks for the listen.
i love the idea, all tho there are parts where i feel a cut out of the sudden? 2:40 i loved those melodies, but when everything starts playing together i barely hear it in the mix. overall good track man very chill.
Believe it or not, I actually always complete the drums first, then pair them blindly with a melody in order to make the finished product unpredictable to myself. So, this was a happy coincidence. Thanks for the listen.
This track is full of power. The drum breaks completely make the track. I'd personally like some more "tension" in the parts without drums, maybe some more experimentation or something. But overall the track is awesome, great job.
I see what you mean. To me the best part of DnB has always been the drums so I'm limited when it comes to other aspects, not to mention that I don't actually know how to make music. I'll try to find that tension, though. Thanks.
very cool track first i like the varying tempo and interesting mixing from the rapid frenzy to sudden calm kept me interested the whole way through best regards Robbie.
