Hey Flonut, thanks for listening and taking the time to comment. It could well be that Mr. Hemanifezt made it freestyle, I only had the acapella that I downloaded from here and built the rest around it. I found the tempo to be 92.65, a very unusual figure. But it could well be that I did not choose the correct tempo. I am not very experienced when it comes to rap and hiphop, so I might not have done Hemanifezt justice. Thanks for your input, much appreciated, I really do!!

Thanks for listening and thank you for your comments. It is very interesting what you are saying, I have a theory why this is. Basically, HEMANIFEZT recorded this song, most likely to a very different beat, and then he posted only the Acapella. I took the vocals, and tried to find a beat and tempo that matches it, and built the whole song around it. Hemanifezt is a very good rapper, if you check out his Bandcamp site you will see what I mean. Thanks again for your comments, I really appreciate it!!!

Yes, guitar, bass, drums are all real - and the rap of course. The only "plastic" is the keys in the background and the scratch loop. I actually managed to create some scratching noises on my guitar, but they were not good enough yet so I used something else. Thanks for listening :)

Thanks for listening. Actually, we are all in different countries, so everything is done by email and wikiloops.com
Basically after we decided to use the vocals, I made up a rough template with the vocals, some guitar and some electronic drums, and then bhunt and rp3drums recorded each their track, and I mixed it up.

I am so happy - you will remember this song for as long as you live now ;) . The bass and the drums were done more or less life in a single take by bhunt1 and rp3drums, and some of the guitar parts too. That gives it a life feeling, also, as it is not made on software it is slightly out of click in one or two places, that gives it a "live" feel.

I don't think I have heard that RunDMX song for years, but you are absolutely right, there is a resemblance. This is surely the inspiration for mixing Rock/blues guitar and hiphop. Thanks for reminding me of this song :)

Thank you, appreciate it. I am actually working on more tracks, I got a drummer and a bass player who are into this so we will do more. It is exactly as you said, I love hiphop and blues, rock, but I prefer it to be played with real instruments, and add a bit of electronic stuff. I would love to have someone make effects for us using a turntable though, that would be cool :)

Thanks for the compliment about the instruments. I am trying to have real drums and bass on my tracks, not that they are better it's just a thing I have. Regarding the vocals, I don't know, I actually like them...but that's music, isn't it? Everyone has a different taste and there is no right or wrong :)
