Hello Marco,
you know we're always on a space mission and this track could be the sound they dance to on some far away planet. Your music indeed evokes images of strange creatures in my mind and since I guess this is your intention I must say: mission accomplished, Signore!!!
Cheers,
Micky
Thank you my friend,
this is indeed a dance of weird creatures under a starry sky as shimmering green flames rise from the torches arranged in a circle on the edges of the Extradimensional Arena.
A warm greeting Marco
Again a big thank you for your friendly and constant support. Your sounds are always for me a rich source of inspiration and a great model of artistic quality. A musical bridge unites Italy to Canada.
Greetings from your friend Marco
Hello my friend and thank you for your nice comment. I think we have a similar musical sensibility even though our styles are different.

back to the 80's when we saw so many youngsters with special peaked hair...and those colours...:-)
the groovy is irresistible, as the synth work too...
always good to hear stg new from you...so versatile you are...
standing ovation
Dear Friend thank you for your appreciation and your support. In this case I wanted to make a more catchy and lively song than the others.

Thank you for explaining who HPL was. I googled it and i got the Houston Public Library, Hartford Public Library, high pressure laminate....he.
Great piece of music man! Mind bending, trippy stuff. Very creative. Sounds like it was made with all 60's and 70's loop machines like the ones Pink Floyd used and 70's synths like the Prophet or mini Moog.
Hello my friend and thank you for your kind review, I'm glad you liked my song. Indeed as you have noticed the use of rather vintage style sounds. I'm glad you now know HPL too, if you are interested in learning more I recommend the stories: "The shadow over Innsmouth" and "The Call of Cthulhu".
A cordial greeting
Marco
As always Marco a journey. This has nome nice dissonant tones in it. I have been listening to Psybient music lately which is very cool and relaxing and this could fall under . Suduaya in particular is a favourite of mine. But the genre is very diverse. Stay Safe
Steven
Hi Steven, thank you very much for your review, in this song I tried to generate alien sensations by combining the sounds in a non-harmonic way.
How are you my friend?
I stayed away from Looperman for a while. Greetings from Italy
Marco
good to see you back, my friend! i know i’ll always have an atmospheric and immersive listening experience, like shifting strata on this track. slippery and wicked grooves!
Dear Friend thank you very much for your support, I always try as I can to produce sounds that are a little different from usual.
A cordial greeting
Marco
Out of curiousity, who is HPL? This is new to me. Unique and refeshing comes to mind. I don't listen to psychedelic much, however, this was definitely enjoyable. Good to see you back on the radar. Thank for sharing :)
Hi, HPL is the acronym with which fans often refer to Howard Phillips Lovecraft, the one I consider the greatest writer in the fairy-horror field and who for me is a great source of inspiration. Thank you very much for your kind comment.
A cordial greeting
Marco
I'm going to take a guess and say that you are fan of Richard Wright. (I mean, really, who wouldn't be?) Every now and then, in all of your work, I can hear elements that really remind me of his mid 70s work. So I'm just assuming.
You have a knack for transitions. Your ability to change sequences, moods, and tempos have a seamless and fluid quality that a lot of people can't really grasp.
Overall, this does have an 80s sound. The main difference being the production quality. It's much clearer than that which I remember from then.
That switch at about 2:50 is very Pink Floyd sounding. So, naturally I love it.
The dynamics you have are very well used. Nothing is crowded, nothing steps on each other, the panning and movement along with the phasing give it a nice full of life sound.
Dear friend good morning. As always, your review is very thorough and accurate and I thank you very much for your kind words. As you said I tried to recover the sounds of the 80s in this song, my main source of inspiration in this case was Tangerine Dream, but certainly also the Pink Floyd of the mid-70s. I really like the shape of the suite. but it requires a lot more work than a simpler piece. Now I plan to make another suite with a more electro touch and some post punk elements.
Best wishes and see you soon
Marco
the suite form really suits you. this is very well developed as composition and performance. it’s very cool to hear the sequencer deployed in a fresh-sounding way. the drums are just tasty. this seems a bit of a departure from the other works i’ve heard, it’s cool to get a sense of your range. peace, marco.
Dear Friend, thank you for listening carefully and for your nice words. In fact I really like making the pieces in the form of a suite, it seems to me that they can tell a story. However, it is a long and complex job to put all the elements together.
A cordial greeting
Marco
Dear Friend thank you very much for your comment, your opinion is very important to me. When I return from holidays in September I would like to propose to you to make some pieces in collaboration.

Pretty cool mix you have here. Actually what attracted me to check it out was the title. I first learned about Cthulhu playing D & D and reading H.P. Lovecraft back in the college days. I dig the track as I'm always hip to interesting and unique approaches to music and music interpretation. It very much reminds me of early Pink Floyd and how they used sound effects and soundscapes as integral components in their material. Props on the production here, it's very good, and I especially like your focus on movement. A lot of producers overlook this aspect of the recording or don't put enough emphasis on it. Another important component in this type of music is texture or how well the various layers of sound interact with each other. Things like melody, tempo, harmonics etc. and how well they are combined really define the overall quality of the mix. You pretty much nailed that too.
If I was to find anything negative or had to nitpick something, I would say that as I listened I was hoping it would actually develop into something. It doesn't strike a chord, contain a rhythm or fully develop into a beat. Instead, the rhythm is intuitive and free-flowing. So essentially its a soundscape and cant be categorized as music. That's not a bad thing by any means, I'm just stating that as a listener I was left wanting or waiting on the music. However, Since you stated in your description that this will be the opening piece of your album, I feel that this is intentional and is essentially a 5 minute buildup to the first track of the album. Which makes me all the more impressed with your genius cause now I have to buy your album to see where this leads !!!
Dear Friend, I very much appreciated your in-depth analysis, you listened carefully and your comments are truly centered and precise. You are right in saying that this song does not have a traditional melody and evolution and you have well understood that it is essentially a soundscape which serves to introduce the rest of the album by gradually immersing the listener in Lovecraftian atmospheres. The rest of the album is designed to accompany the reading of HPL's works. In a few days I will receive printed copies of my CD "Cthulhu Calling", which will not be on the market, as I intend to give them to my friends. I also want to send a copy to all the friends of Looperman who have followed and encouraged me in recent months, so if you like I will send you one by post, to an address that is convenient for you to receive the package (write me in private to show me the address).
A cordial greeting

I really enjoy your style. The depth of you comes out in your work. Much like the words you choose to communicate verbally, your music, even these experimental pieces, are very articulate and deliberate.
Much like my own work, (More so in my early works that aren't posted here anymore.), you have the ability to tell a story with sounds. It's a far cry from the standard formulas that most pop follows. Allowing freedom for creative expression.
I am impressed that this is all mostly from apps. It's interesting how far technology has come. And to think that we're still only at the surface.
This piece reminds me of early Pink Floyd. Obscured By Clouds era. Just...more cosmic. (Therefore, aptly titled, "Azathoth"). It's fluid soundscape is chaotic but still orchestrated under a grand plan.
The drums, while being exactly where they need to be, almost seem like they were an accident. Like they were floating by, and were pulled into the vortex by the gravity of oscillating energy.
Even if you were just playing around, this still paints a picture. Nice job, man.
Dear Friend, your comments are always very deep and accurate. It is understood that you listen with great attention, with your heart and mind as well as with your ears and this reveals your great artistic sensitivity which is also expressed very well through your music. I thank you for your friendship and support.

Dear Friend, thank you for your comment. I think if you agree we could make some songs together, probably our integrated styles would work well. Maybe, if you like, in September when I return home I will try to send you some basis on which you could work by adding your fantastic sounds. I would be really curious to hear the result of a collaboration of this type, I think it would be rather original .
A cordial greeting from Italy

Thanks for the constancy with which you follow my music and for the support you give me with your comments, I appreciate very much.
