I think the foot you added provides very interesting colour to the recording, but I feel like some field in the frequency spectrum remains empty: foot, massive kick, far vocals and instruments with some highs enhanced... but still much more space...
Interesting work. Very nice arrangement.
Alex
Dope mellow trap. Dark and chill at the same time. That musicbox or glockenspiel type sound is real nice. Dope lyrics and flows on this too. That distorted like synth later on is pretty sick. Killed it, peace
Really dig that vocal added into the mix. Well arranged, like the synths. That you on the vocals? Nice, blended in the mix pretty good too. Hope you doing alright too, I'ma see you around bro. Dope stuff peace
Izotope huh, nice. I use alot of Izotope's stuff. Quality plugins, like Ozone 4. I know 5 is out now, i gotta get that soon. But yea man, sick work here. Like the vibe of the beat and your vocals are pretty spot on too. Ill bro. peace
Yo, thanks dude. I really appreciate the compliments. Ozone 5 is coming out huh. Cool. I just started using Izope. I like it but it's a bit of a cpu hog, either that or my computer is old lol.
Thanks again for stopping by, I'll definitely swing by your page and check out your tunes soon enough.
Ah yes, Shammi rules! Haven't heard anything of his in a bit, so this is refreshing! Since you're trying out mastering FX, I'll say that I like the mastered sound very much on this. It sounds smooth, and dynamic enough... I like it when I can choose the volume with my setup, and that's true of this song. Definitely has a nice bass line and feel! Good dancehall is the shiz, and this qualifies! Fave!
Finally somebody talkin about something worth talkin about...
Very deep, Very real and worthy project informative, positive
Track is hooked just right, tight... Vocal all up in the right place
front and center....
I can see the bouncing off peoples heads, that don't get it but it's
the other way around, for those that do...
What's up man. I agree on the acapella having a positive message. I was lucky enough to bump into it here on Looperman, and it inspired me to do this track.
Thank you for your honest review. I think I listened to one of your tracks yesterday but I was running out the door and I didn't want to leave a quick review.
I will visit your page and check out your tunes soon enough.
Yo. Really not my kind of music but I think this is well produced. It's got a good stereo field so lots of good things going on in both ears on headphones.
0:47 I like the drop out of the heavenly pads. Nice contrast there.
Lots of melodic piano notes in here that don't really make me think of hip hop.
Your bass drum is quite a subdued one but it's quite a chilled track so best not to have it pumping too much.
Took me a while to realise that there isn't really a bassline.
Oh, and good delay on vocals, especially around 3:00 to 3:20. Tinkly sort of piano that follows is also cool. Oh, and there's some sub bass too. Finally, a bit of solid bass!
Despite this not being the kind of thing I'm into, I don't think I can fault the production at all. And I always try! I like to point things out so that people have some things to think about and improve on. Or they're free to completely disagree...
I'll let you know if I think of anything else. Otherwise, well done with this tight, clean and melodic production.
Hey, what's up again. Thank you for taking the time for listening and giving me an insightful review. I hear what you are saying about the bassline.
In most of my tracks I usually do have a bassline, but in this particular track the 808 kick I used had a lot of low frequencies that when I tried to add any bass sound on top of it, it just sounded very muddy. Even when I tried to apply EQ I couldn't get the right sound I wanted.
Thanks to your comment, I might just change the kick to a lighter one so I can add a bassline. Again I really appreciate your insight. I will definitely check out some of your latest tunes as well.
Yo man, thanks a lot for the props. I've downloaded a few of your acapellas. I'm gonna try and come up with something crazy for you. I'll hit you up when I'm done for sure.
