getting the right Sub Bass is an art form. It's that sweet spot right between being in and out of phase... with some sugar on top. I create sounds/beats...and have some great sub sounds. ever want some I can send. Let me know.
This is wicked. I like the arabian stylee so this has definitely got my vote. I like those "squelchy" noises. What did you use to make those with? You can tell that you've spent a lot of time on this because of the intricacy of it. Best trap/hip hop piece i've played today (and there's been a lot of them)
Now i'm going to play it again because i liked it so much.

Day-um that some heavy subs, it rattles the place alright! I think the levels are good for the most part. I had to adjust my receiver to full treble (10) and bass (-5) to get a stable level of heavy and clarity if I wanted to turn the track up to bump. Not a problem since we all have different systems. Not sure how one would accurately set the subs in a track like this but I think it might be a fraction too loud. Nice Arabian like vocal piece that gave a cool vibe to the mix. Nonetheless it still knocks, Thanks for sharing, Keep at it, Peace.
I like the arab/indian feeling you added to this. Its not your average trap song and that's a great thing. All in all, very nice work. I would have probably added in a little variation, maybe adding more synths, but that's just me!
thanks homie, appreciate the feedback and ill take it into consideration. my vsts are offline right now for unknown reasons so to use the synth in this I had to make a sample on a separate platform, load it into my daw and then place edit and pitch it. its a huge pain in the ass but hopefully once I get it all up and running again I can play around with those sounds everyone seems to love a little more thx, peace
I dislike probably about 95% of the trap I've heard (which has mostly been on this site) but I think his is pretty damn good. It's got some real depth and melody to it.
The bass is quite alluring and not too heavy and doesn't interfere with all your melodies.
Your tinkly bell sounds have a really good stereo spectrum
and I can't really fault the production in this as everything has its place.
0:38 slightly Asian lead is probably my favourite element.
I checked your profile and you say you have no VSTs What did you use to make this? Just synths in Ableton?
You know there are loads of freeware VSTs you can get?
I hope you get some other VSTs or whatever as you deserve as you've got some goo ability and feel for music making, just judging by this track.
Good length track as well and doesn't really need any vocals.
hey thanks man I don't know how I skipped over this comment but detailed feedback like this is much appreciated. Ive been looking for free vsts but cant really find much I like. I just recently acquired massive so ive been playing around with that. its just so.. massive haha but ill keep it coming. its really nice to hear feedback on these types of tracks I feel like most people just want the cookie cutter trap type beats so as a producer trying to make a living eventually im forced to find a balance between my creative experimentalism and industry boundaries and templates. thanks again homie
Hey GB,
sounds interesting and for more of this stuff, like B. said, first you have to finish this track otherwise a review is not realy objectively,at this time i think that there is much potential in this project, and i´m realy curious for the rest of this track ,keep on ,DRO
hey thanks yeah i wasn't really looking for a track review just some insight to whether or not there was interest in this type of music but thank you that's exactly the push i need to keep working on it and get it finished, will do, xaox
Hey girl!
Great to see sisters here at Looperman doing their thing or as u Americans say 'Thang'! :)
Your track took me by surprise. I know it's a work in progress and I can only give a honest review if I listened to the whole track, that I hope u can share with us all later.
Other than that it sounds great! My speakers are not complaining(distortion) and that's a good start. Your chopping/sampling work is great too. I'm loving that 'ratchet' type of fx on every second beat. I hope u finish this track.
thanks homie you probably got some decent monitors huh? cant wait till I get my hands on a pair.. using some audio-tech monitor headphones right now but I hear its just not the same
its actually an ableton stock instrument, called a shamisen I think... its like a Japanese guitar thing. had to edit all the parameters apply compression edit eq and use slight reverb to get it to sound that way though.
