This is perfect with some triton soundscape! See a passage through dark mountains and moon as a guide while underwater.. You did well with the selection of sounds you have. Playing well telling a story. The levels are really good, so far you got a solid approach and entertaining to view. Thanks for sharing, Keep going. Peace.
It's nice to observe how my tiny little work draws pictures in people's minds. That alone is proving it far from meaningless as an artwork. This is a huge compliment to me.:)
definitely interesting work. I think that guitar and violin both need some ambience effects (most of all guitars, which are very "dry" in the mix and doesn't blend very well), but there's a lot of potential here.
You're right about acoustic guitars, but the track is not completely finalised yet, so some tweaking on the sound still has to be done. But when it comes to violin...the sound is dry strictly on purpose (my firm personal choice). But thx alot for opinion and advice...appreciate it very much!:)
Orlando, this was awesome the strings were awesome it kind of rang in my head (and I mean that in a good way) I agree with larrywiggles you should throw some keys in there good shit though!
Thx Dyldo, nice to hear that!:)I've been tempting many things to throw in, but after serious reconsideration as well as consultation with some other musicians, I'm coming to the conclusion that my song works best if it stays as it is...the very same shit then:)
Once I had a trip to Venice...3 people at a backstreet's corner played a same beautiful music...we stood there than set down for an hour or so...can't let us the music leave...
Yours is the same, sometimes I have to come back and enjoy it...fabulous...
Wow,wow,wow..Danke! This is the first time for me that someone comes back and posts another comment on the same track, which probably only true fans do.:):)^^ I feel really honoured!
And yes, that distinct violin sound may really evoke mind pictures from Venice. And to mention funny coincidence - the background on my avatar is right from there...beautiful Venice.
Perhaps I just have to apologize that I never use heavy metal violins in my work...but maybe one day...just for you Danke:)^^
Have a nice artistic day further on, my friend___Orlando
Nice work bye the way!...but it's not sad to me, maybe slightly melancholy, but in a reflective way. It's a thinking ambient song...a piece that will spark new ideas. Love the oboe (English Horn)like sounds. Songs like this or like Music from Roxy Music and Brian Eno have always peaked my musical sensibilities. It's not Destructive but Reflective.
Steve
You won't believe it, but I was just telling Tumbleweed today that I'm considering to add some more oboe in the arrangement...funny indeed:) And I love Roxy and Eno, so mentioning them alongside my song is jut "too much" of a compliment for me. But thx alot Steve...you're always welcome!:)
I dunno about what to say about this one... Maybe it's all done already? What's more to add to it? This one brings me into a fantasy land, I think I am down at the harbour but at the next time I'm in the shadows deep down the forrest. This might be one of my fuzzy best comments ever :)
It's really a pleasant feeling when you know that your work evokes pictures of imagination in people's minds. Thx alot for stopping by to listen and comment!:)
Really Beautiful Song. I Can't really tell what it is, But its layered beautifully. Im not sure as to as if anyone could possibly sing on it. but maybe a few harmonic hums or humming for sure. I really don't know what this genre is, but Im really into this trippy strange type beats, I actually primarily use alotta instruments with these types of vibes in All of my hip hop beats. There's always a trippy pad or sound in my tracks playing in the background throughout the song. this believe it or not, or whether or not its even finished. is a Favorite for sure.
Well, I don't know Bobby. I always tend to defy categorization
in music. I have always enjoyed a bit unusual approach to music as a listener and now obviously also as a composer. Take it simply as an "instrumental" and that's what essentialy is. It was never intended for singing, let alone dancing..xD, but some carefuly arranged hums could be an option.
Anyway, thx alot for your kind and positive feedback!:)
Just got me a guitar for this past Christmas. Definitely gotta learn how to play it to make me some acoustic tunes. Another fine ambient track. Short and to the point. Nice. peace!
Spacey and very ambient indeed. Nice piece of work for something still in development. This would be a nice back drop in a romance or something. Great work. peace
Hi Orlando...I downloaded your tack...dont really think it needs anything but I will see if I can put together a few nylon string guitar lines for you...will use your contact for info...Ed
