tell me if U were minded ,best wishes.___Behnam
Dear Behnam!Thx alot, alot, alot, but I really don't deserve your kind words. I just don't see myself as phenomenal musician. Even only a "musician" would be maybe too huge compliment for me. I'm just an amateurish joker, struggling to produce something nice for the sake of my own soul and then maybe to give something to people who are willing to listen.
I'm honoured about your invitation to colaborate with a singer you mentioned, but this is something I could consider a bit later on, because I'm pretty busy at the moment. When I have more time I will let you know.
Funny thing...but music that many would find sad I just find to be beautiful and touching...like this one...the strings can really add that sense of sadness (cello in particular)...but the pads are a rich contrast..it a very minimal mix again Orlando (and I like that idea) so there are many options if you decide to add to it...some have already been mentioned...but I am of course biased...so perhaps a few sparcely played classical/nylon string guitar lines would fit without detracting from the other sounds...In any case I like it as it is now...It is really well done...with thoughtfulness and talent...Ed
Thx alot again Ed! Your comments are real uplift to me, more so because I realised you're such a wonderfully talented musician. Yes, Ed, you're right...I prefer simpler arrangements. They give me alot more space to breath, particulary in the sense of potential reconsidering and maybe adding something later on. I really appreciate your advice about additional guitars...but wait...you're so skilled guitar player! Would you do that for me when you have a bit of time? I would be really honoured...and ofcourse, on the other hand I wouldn't like to steal your valuable time...but yes, this is an invitation!:)So please let me know what you think!
Yes, yes Danke! You are one of those people who help me sustain the level of enthusiasm for my amateurish musical adventures. Your positive feedback on my work help to keep me encouraged to further struggle with this strange conglomerate of notes, chords, rhytms and stuff...
So, big thanks once again and cya around___Orlando
Actually it does fit for ambient in my opinion. The way you are using the strings add a conversation with the space of that pad of timeless time. Each instrument of the layering order working great for this idea and I like it. I wonder what you would add next after what is playing so far, something new for me and thank you for allowing us to take a listen. It is sad but graceful. You have some outstanding ideas. Peace.
Honestly, I had doubts about category on this one. I would simply put "instrumental" if available, but "ambient" is justified enough in my opinion (yours also). Initialy I had a bit different plan in mind for this one, but along the way it took a bit more focused route, so it turned out as it is now. I was about to use more electric instruments in the arrangement which is temporarily left off, but another version I plan might be a more balanced electroacustic mixture. We will see. Otherwise, big thank you on your positive comment. Cheers___Orlando
really nice for the fist take, haunting strings. maybe some light percussion variations, some deeper pads and a some piano keys might help, but it was good listening.
best wishes Mark
Hey Mark! (used to call you Larry..^^). As always I much appreciate your honest comment. Many thanks for advice while I'm still exploring some alternatives on this one and I think I got some additional ideas to apply here. In time we will see how it turns out. Best wishes, my friend___Orlando
I'm glad there is a part in my track which you like!
My personal best part is just a little bit before 1 minute when everything suddenly winds down and concluding with sax riff.
Anyways, thx for stoping by.
wow the butterflies are crying in your composition.
i really loved your composition.
i am in love with terse conceptual musics like this.
but maybe you can design a better ending.
this had just one loop as is ,and seemed an undone sentence.
but very deep and lone , nostalgic .
i really liked it.
wow, Im Seriously so impressed, Especially because you used Samplitude. Im Completely in love with the harmony in this. It could be used as a score or just plain good listening. Great stuff.
dear Orlando , I listened ,listened , listened , listened & again listened this totally 5 times , & 5 . 100 = 500 seconds admiered U in my head for such a considered & thaughtfull composition .I'm a big fan of short traX & specially my fav duratin is 100 seconds & having about 20 short & exacyly 100 seconds or less trax ( right now in my looperman visible traX U can see just one of them=100 seconds recital piano for thinking to deaf humans ),and any way according to this private interest to 100 seconds duration for each track , I really found it a very impressive & good music & better than many of my 100 seconds traX....faved for sure , thnx for sharing & greatest respects & adorations for your great musical tallent.best wishes.___Behnam
Hello Behnam! Your comment is really a big relief to me, as well as a huge compliment. When I read it I said to myself "finaly a person who particulary likes and appreciates short tracks". Almost everybody else wants me to extend this. Maybe it will happen or maybe won't. I adore short pieces. They are like musical impresssions to me and if they are well done, their shortness makes them even more valuable in some way. Tiny little rarities are usualy precious to us, aren't they?
Anyway...big thankyou for your positive thoughts on my work and best wishes from
You have an awesome beginning. now you must complete your journey! (great pads, nice guitars, I hear some midi instruments as well)Organ is pleasant. I look forward to hearing the conclusion of this piece.
Steve
some really rich sounds Orlando...and they are everything that is needed in this mix...I have a tendency to clutter my mixes a bit at times and this superb minimal approach is proof that a few of the proper sound choices lets each one really contribute its part that much better....good listening...a big well done to you...Ed
nice one, and certainly one that you could extend, I am learning fast that putting everything including the kitchen sink into a track isn't always the way, as this proves...great job Orlando.
