Still, flat and cold soundscape you have here! This is
a beautiful piece with a lot of positive soothing power.
I can really hear some pleasant and healing resonance of string plucked instruments in this.
Hey mate...how ya doin'?..:) I'm really glad you had quite some positive impressions about this one and also thanks for the link...I will check it out!:)
What a cool name for a picture and track :)
Cant say any about the painting :) but i like the sounds you used here and if the music fits to the picture, then it must be a very nice one.
I realy enjoy tracks where i can close my eys and strat dreaming. And this one is realy good for that
Great work on the sounds and mixing also.
Excelent stuff to relaxing
Good to hear from you, Joe...I'm really glad that I was able to make a little contribution to your relaxing routine
and i much appreciate your listening time and nice comment!
Thanks alot!:)
Euphoric is how i would describe this track.. or fucking awesome, think ill go with the latter haha
Its the synthwork in this im loving most though, amazing work.
If you dont mind me asking what vst's you using for these?
especially the pluck at 15seconds been trying to make a sound like that for a while! haha
Many thanks for the compliments Sean. Your question about
vst usage is coincidentally very appropriate cause the idea for this track emerged when I was testing CZynthia synth for the first time. Later on also my frequently used CrX4
jumped in for complimentary purposes, and that's it..:)
Often times, I begin a track with no idea where it's headed. A lot of the times, I try to build something similar to thi in the sense that it's a minimalist, drumless soundscape. But that creative force that lives in me always brings forth the driving beat. Just once, I'd like to create something as ethereal, and captivating as yours. Maybe you're much more at peace with yourself that I am. Which leads me to ask the question: Does the creativity reflect the state of mind, or does it influence it? When you create these pieces, do you let the music channel through you, or do you bend the ambiance to your desire? Myself, I believe that music has always been here. Long before we were, and it will be here long after we're gone. We are nothing more than a vehicle for it to be presented to us. We give it it's voice. But, there are those who simply let it flow through them, and then there are those, more like myself, who, although let it flow, bend it to fit my own agenda. Your pieces are almost always so calm, and reflective, where mine are always aggressive and driving. Even in the more "fluid" works. It's interesting that yours, and mine, evoke such strong emotions in the listener, but they are so far apart on the spectrum.
At first, I didn't really listen that deeply to your work. But much like a truly good cup of coffee, there are so many complexities, and elements that go into it, that it takes time to fully learn and appreciate everything involved. I'm glad I kept coming back.
Hi Aaron...always good to hear from you, especially when you come up with such an interesting and thoughtful observation. You have put some questions on the table to which the answers can't be simple or one sided......I wouldn't say that I'm much more at peace with myself than you, cause I probably as well tend to the other side as you do, although in opposite direction. We are momentarily on different sides of the circle or if you want the analogy of an egg. We are taking different directions, but one day we might meet at one exact point. I would like to produce more rhythm based track, it's just that I still don't feel enough comfortable with it. "When you create these pieces, do you let the music channel through you, or do you bend the ambiance to your desire? " I think that the first option is there more frequently with me than the second one, although they might intertwin at times and I think it's the same with the creativity and the state of mind. I think the relation can be observed both ways. About evoking emotions I think we're dealing with the force which has a very broad range, so the strong impact can be achieved from totally different positions as is the case with our music. We'll see what future brings...
I can only express my gratitude and respect for your attention to detail in my music and ofcourse don't forget I have great admiration for yours!:)
Yet another winner from you! I absolutely love this one, the sound was a bit more on the tense side but absolutely ace in execution and production. Great work Orlando :)
Hi Greg...good to hear from you!:) There's no reverse techniques here..I just experiment alot with synths to get those sounds out and I'm using quite alot of Fx (delays, reverbs, filters, etc.) Thanks alot for listening and your attention...much appreciated!
Made me think of ice crystals forming on a window on a frosty winter morning. The wind blows the light fluffy snow in every direction as you quickly scrape the ice off your car windows hoping your car starts in the frigid temps. I don't miss those days one bit but we did get frost the other day.
I liked your last track as well, similar concept and just as interesting and can be interpreted many ways.
Yes, I agree...it's a similar concept as the previous one
with a bit more versatile palete of instruments and sounds.
I really like your alternative imagination that the track evokes for you and it's absolutely true that it can be interpreted in many ways.
Thank you so much for listening and for this friendly fedback...and the 'fav' ofcourse...means the world!:)
No, I don't think it's just you...I also feel that it mixes both moods. I'm very glad you liked it and I'm sure I will be making some more similar stuff here and there in the future. In fact I already did some similar stuff.
If you like you can check out "In The Garden Of Secrets"
which is actualy my previous upload, and there is also "Another Day After"(very dark), and mellower "The African Moon Lullaby". All of these tracks differ from one another, yet they undoubtedly have something in common.
Anyways, thanks alor for listening and the kind feedback!:)
This is a lovely minimalist track. The sound evolves naturally and tells your story of the abandoned sanctuary very well. It gives the feeling of something frozen in time, mixed with memories of both joy and sadness. It's a beautiful first song of the day for me to listen to. Made me feel calm and pensive. So thank you :)
Yes, "something frozen in time"...very intelligent observation and I'm glad you recognised all those mixed sentiments. So thanks alot for listening and for this
lovely feedback!:)
Hey Orrie,
I’m sorry mate it seems that I have missed this one some how.
My place of sanctuary is listening to your music mate.
I can see you still polling all ladies of LM ?????
Fantastic track its really captivating.
Very big well done to you mate.
Jamid
You couldn't really missed it, cause it's here not even 2 days..haha..
Ladies?....sure...I have to keep being in form..:)^^
Anyways, I'm so glad you liked and faved my new track...thank you so much dear friend!:)
Wow!!-- Very beautiful piece. Sounds like a mixture of some of Frank Zappa's solo keyboard projects with a touch of Beck. Will this be available for download someday? Thanks for the listen PDmzuak
Aptly titled...a place of safety...now abandoned to its quietness...a touch of meloncholy...peace....you paint the picture perfectly with your patient approach to composition that evolves along its way...and always a most enjoyable listen over here...well done (as always) Orlando...Ed
Hey, my friend...always good to hear from you! As you see
I'm exploring that kind of mood lately, although I have no rational explanation for it..as if there were unexplicable forces which drag me into certain phase of creating, yet the direction might change in the next hour...haha...
Thank you so much for stopping by to listen and comment...and for all those encouraging words, but now we are changing the roles as I rush to hear your new thing...
Just a few words, and if I may: It's Magic .... You ensure your subject with a certain musical conviction no doubt. A multitude of images unfold as in a kaleidoscope. And to conclude .... Great serenity here.
This is some classy stuff and you clearly specialise in drumless, mysterious minimalism. I have a lot of musical limitations and am a bit lost without a good solid groove, which is why I tend to use a lot of drums, whereas you often use none.
I'd find using none quite difficult and have only ever done one proper drumless track (chillout with lots of strings but also guitar).
Anyway, this is another hard one to review as it seems to just keep stretching itself on and on, without any obviously different sections. Lots of gliding notes and a constant air of mystery and intrigue. And melancholy calm.
Seems about the right length so I don't suggest cutting it down, as I did with your last lengthy, drumless ambient piece.
Good work.
P.S. I've wondered for a while why you generally only write 2 or 3 line track reviews when you're clearly capable of saying a lot more ie as you do in your own track replies.
Yeah, you're right....In most cases I'm a drumless guy, but that's already known fact. I don't know, but I think I need alot of freedom when making music so I often cut drums out of the picture, cause I don't want to be limited or predetermined by a certain rhytmic structure. Luckily the genres I usually work with are drumwise less demanding.
As far as the length of comments are in questiion I can only say the time is my biggest enemy!
Thanks alot for listening and your valuable comment!
Your progressivity is amazing...epic, 'big' tracks you create...this one is scary and freezing...got my brain to remember last year's losses...that is the mission of art...to create feeling in the listener...your tracks always tell a story...donwanna hype you but you are one of the best artist here (and there)...
Yeah, my friend...it has a freezy feel and I can smell the presence of cobwebs everywhere...might also evoke the feeling of loss as you say...Yet your words are so generous, my dear friend, that I hardly deserve them...
I can only express my sincere gratitude for your continuous support and friendship! I'm glad you found some value in my new work and also many thanks for the 'fav' and 'dl'...!:)

I enjoyed floating melodies - reminding me a bit of the sound of a Sunvox virtual synth I used earlier https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dzkulKz8qBI
Thanks for taking me to the Zen zone for a moment!
