shouldn't be posting your beats under the hip hop genre. you do sound like an asshole. poor professionalism and will likely not make it. on the old side anyway...... glad I made it lol
Wow, if that's why you make music, that's sad. I don't make beats to try to "make it" You're a fucking sell out. It's cats like that give Hip Hop a bad name. No joke, I would be so embarrassed if I had that attitude. But good for you if that's what you want. More power to you
I apologize for the delay in response. Yeah, I have let a couple people download somethings in the past and I always get screwed. So nowadays I like to get to know the person first and hear some things that they have already done.
I think you underrate yourself, this is a FANTASTIC! beat. Awesome! work here, powerful! also & I like that kind of sporadic ethnic type vox running through, it adds interest and holds attention. Keep making music, you have a unique style & this is very Well done! Kudos!
I apologize for the delay in my response. I don't come on here very often. But thank you, I really appreciate you saying that. And you're I am usually to hard on myself, so it nice to hear things like that. Thank you
I heard it.
Now let's address the passive-aggressive part of your message ;)
Yeah, it's not so easy to get heard in the music world. But at least on Looperman you can help that a bit by setting your track to featured.
Now will people use your track for a rap? probably not, there are many more beats than rappers, but at least you can take an acapella from that section and fit it to your track. That also helps you to make more sense of your own track and learn about structure.
Finally... do your own vocals. It's tough, but if you get something good you'll be extra proud.
And finally finally... try to make music because you like it, not because others like it. Much more fulfilling :)
Thank you for your feedback. I wish more people would give feedback. But as far as making music for myself and not other people. Everything I make is because I like doing it. It's always for me. And that's why my structue is the way it is all the time. I try not to worry about that kind of stuff. Not to say that it's not good to know about all things but I feel if I try to follow a common structure then I'm not making it the way I like it, which in turn makes me feel like I'm not making it for me
I like the tempo of this one and also liking this one much better, it's a sweet! track I love the melody of it, in any case this is better than the first. Kudos! Keep up the good! work.
Thank you again for the feedback. But I also want to say that you are very good with music. I really like your beats.Your style is nice. It's like what I used to listen to when I was a kid. It actually reminds me a lot of the Roots or like how Common Sense was before he turned Common. (No pun intended)
It's interesting. The other one is slower; I think the slightly faster tempo works better for me. I also like the unprocessed vocals better; but the key you used in the newer version is a bit closer to the key of the vocal (although neither fit).
All in all I still think the original is more compelling.
Good luck :)
I agree. I just really wanted it all to work because I was so into that vocal sample. And I wanted it to be as raw as possible because I felt like any kind of effect would take away some of the emotion.
I always find it amazing how differently sounds are received individually. But of course fortunately, because it becomes colorful.
Angelusyeux777SC couldn't really do anything with the vocals; for me, their simple, sparse form fits very well into the basically very uniform, stoic track ("uniform/stoic" is just a description, not a criticism!).
The instrumental-musical representation of a coma state comes to my mind, which on its own would come across as a swan song, but then shows through the vocals that life resists giving up just like that.
I perceive the voice(s) as that of a little girl, of little girls (preschool age), who have a basic charisma that is always fascinating and impressive to me: They are full of optimism, are filled with a confidence that is not damaged by anything, look at the world with boundless confidence, have an unshakable self-conviction.
So on this track they are definitely the vital signals emitting counterweight to the swan song of life.
Overall, a nice, solid track (perhaps a bit too abbreviated in length).
As Angelusyeux777SC said ?
"The overall track/melody sounds NICE! All in All FAB! work. Kudos!"
Thank you for the feedback. I spend a lot of time by myself so not a lot of people hear what I make. That's one of the reasons why I put somethings on here. Always in hopes someone will give me a different perspective. So again, thank you for the feedback.
I have always had a soft spot for boom bap music. The beat is FRESH!!! but the vocals here were throwing me off or sounded just a tad slightly off. I would like to have just heard the track without the vox but that's just my opinion, everyone hears differently. The piano didn't sound off but I must say the vocal key nearing the end seemed to fit better and in tune. The overall track/melody sounds NICE! All in All FAB! work. Kudos!
Thank you for the feedback like I told the last person, not a lot of people hear what I make so it's always nice to hear a differnt perspective. And I do have another version without so many vocal samples and is a little different over all I guess you could say. I'll put it up so you can hear it.
