You always find a new message to create your music about, even though its connected to the Greater Message. And the message is always relevant. When it comes to letting go of yesterday, many of us struggle. Even the best of us. It truly helps to have music like this to help those wayward souls find their way. Thanks for sharing my friend

a new approach, energetic and lively. As always your lyrics are thoughtful and your message direct and clear. I wish to you Merry Christmas and of course a Happy New Year in health and productivity.
Greetings from Greece, Anthony

Then, while messing around a few days ago, this came out of nowhere. To be frank, it was created almost out of laziness - it came together really fast, kind of half-written, with no clear, defined theme from start to finish. I guess Im as surprised as anyone.
Really grateful for the support, and Im looking forward to working together.

Happy Holidays and all the best!

Thanks for stopping by, I really appreciate you taking the time to listen.
Im just as curious as you, haha. The thing is, I dont really consider myself a producer yet, so Ill simply explain the instruments I used and how I blended them... mostly by ear.
FL Studio (Beat):
Aside from the kick drum, I layered two bass sounds - a retro bass and a slap bass (both from Scaler 2) - along with a slightly freakish Freakstylez KS rhythmic arpeggiator from Dune 3.
Plugins on the kick (in this order):
Soft Clipper
Compression
EQ
Plugins on the bass (in this order):
Saturator
Soft Clipper
Compression
EQ
EQ settings:
Kick: Using Ozone 11 EQ, I cut everything below 20 Hz, boosted around 45 Hz by about +3 dB, and applied a bell cut around 90 Hz at roughly 3 dB. I also rolled off everything above 10 kHz.
Bass: Also using Ozone 11 EQ, I cut below 20 Hz, made a small bell adjustment around 45 Hz (about 3 dB), and boosted around 90 Hz by roughly +3 dB. Highs above 10 kHz were cut as well... essentially treating it opposite to the kick.
All other instruments were high-passed from around 100 Hz upwards (and panned for stereo width).
Vocals were high-passed from roughly 80 Hz upwards.
Vocal tracking and mixing were done in Adobe Audition.
So, between 20 Hz and just over 100 Hz, only the kick, bass, and vocals are present - everything else is cleared out of that range. Other percussion elements were panned slightly off-centre.
Both the kick, retro bass, and slap bass are centred (mono), and I used Fruity Limiter to sidechain both basses to the kick.
Mastering chain:
I applied a gentle boost around 60 Hz (roughly +1 dB) and a bell cut at around 375 Hz (about 1.7 dB).
Hope this makes sense :D

I think we all know the feeling..! I think it is our wandering in our souls and minds, where things are not always obvious...there are hidden things and we live this exploration through music. You are given light and yes you have given this community lots of it. Your music is a tunnel through which strong feelings are delivered to us and then it is your deep thoughts and faith that come with your lyrics. You really do an excellent work with these tools and it is highly appreciated.
I liked your song, it is joyful and so very characteristic of you. Keep 'em coming my friend, I assure you, we like them.
Best wishes, Anthony
Thanks for listening so closely and for the kind support.

and as you have said to me before, i would recognise your vocal anywhere bro, keep being you
As for the vocal clarity; it might be because I stopped yelling and recording in the yellow, and Im now keeping everything in the green zone. Ive also started recording at night so I dont annoy the neighbours, so I end up speaking more gently, haha.
Plus, Im putting into practice the advice Ive been getting from guys like you on Looperman.
