You said it was after watching a documentary on Nuclear Fallout, right? The start of it does remind me of Pink Floyd's "Goodbye, Blue Sky"... any intentional homage there? lol. Awesome guitar loop none the less. I may have to use this. :)
I really struggled with drums when I first got into production about 4 years ago.
I literally went as far as taking lessons, sitting down with drummers and studying, watching Youtube vids incessantly, mastering Rock Band 2 drums on playstation 3, and really studying the GREATS.
So, I don't wanna get any comments like "you are talented bro!" because it actually took about 2,000 hours to get good at it lol...
I hope it works for you!!!
I made this one, in hopes that people would "cut" and "paste" it too their needs.
Hey Abe that would be amazing and very original too dude!Im speechless man.
I just got recently imagine line fl9 and have been messing about with it,trying to incorporate loops (like yours and of others)into my own compositions so we will see what comes out of it.
Just "finished" one track using your Now 80 drumloop along with Anomaly j,Cinical1,Dusthill and a few others contribuition.
huh, rhodes do have this melancholy ring to them, it's interesting to know that history of them. at any rate, this is beautiful. i love your loops, they set up whole songs in my head. awesome job.
I love this loop! I love listening to this sort of stuff. What mic do you use? because the sound quality is amazing, its nice & clear. Would it be okay if my band re-created it and used this for our new song?
Showmanship and tireless struggle for a goal is worth money.
Anyway... Yea!
I used.... SM57?... I think... It could have been a various condenser.
The thing about ... Recording, is that you really really have to trust your ears.
Like... I could have a $5,000 dollar neuman and it would perhaps get a worse quality recording than this. It's all about placement and focus on EQ.
Personally?
I think this is garbage because of the whine of my computer. At the high freqs. But I am insanely hard to please with sound.
Furthermore, It's very important to look at "recording" techniques, ... but in the case of Digitization of audio, I am all for "impossibilities" concerning live.
This is like 5 guitar tracks.
1 is Left 100 percent.
2 is Left 50 percent.
3 is Right 50 percent.
4 is Right 100 percent.
5 is just ... tape delay outboard on a send. and then reprocessed with EQ and such. But that's just the .... G and ... F? I think..
Anyway yea.
SO I record these all at once while playing, but I use a little MIDI footpedal to que the recording as I loop to my hearts content with ableton live.
ALTHO! ... I am ... not sure, But I think I used a 12ax7 Tube compressor line in... Little bit of ... unexplainable warmth.
I do recommend 12au7s more tho.
Way beefier.
Please link me up!
GOOD NOTES to transition in this key are always Bb, err... hahha, in the case of this key G#/Ab... ... I think lol
