I am a 41 year old music fan. I fell in love with rap in it's earliest years and grew up with it. I was sad to watch it die a slow sellout death and I thought that the days of true talent in that genere were behind us. You sir are a ray of light and a hope for a new generation of of young uns who can not only write but spit and do it with heart and conviction. Much respect man. Please don't stop. That was more than a rap. That was some genuine street preachin'.
Wow, I appreciate you feel my lyrics. I'm more of a producer than a rapper and haven't really recorded in about five years. I'm almost thirty myself so I grew up with the genre that is now called "old school". If you want to hear some of my group The Godfathers you can check us out at http://www.myspace.com/thegodfathers420 and please check out some of the tracks I've produced on my loopeman profile. I'm curious to know what you'd think of faces in the rain. The Vocals are from a young UK rapper over a beat I produced. I think he's got real talent. Keep in touch.
I like it very much. And I like the lyrical content. I'd like to try to use this acapella in a song but I make electronic music not country. May I please use your vocals? Keep up the good work man.
