Pavel Have you listened to some of the singers on here? People been saying to me in comparison they're no different some are worse. And you read my comment with this song being good.
I don't know why you're bothering me when this is final.
Constructive criticism is also pointing out good.
After reading a bunch of comments, its important to listen when someone is genuinely giving you constructive criticism which is the case for someone like Pavel or Tman. Everyone's just trying to help you out! In your case it would be very helpful to record to a reference beat, doesn't really matter which one or genre as long as it keeps you on whatever tempo you want. None of your vocals were on tempo which is a nightmare for even a "professional" to decode for you.
A bit of preprocessing also really helps, you can easily find a lot of tutorials on Youtube for plugins to utilize: Autotune, EQ, Compressor, and a Noisegate to point out a few plugins to start with (just don't saturate your vocals with reverb or delays if you're not sure about how to use them quite yet). Here's a very helpful youtuber who is very talented and that I actually enjoy their own music as well: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BUGsclljqr8. But for one example, when someone has been telling you your vocals are not leveled properly its due to improper compression techniques. Compressors help to boost lower volume vocals and attenuate higher volume vocals so they all sound about the same volume, or *level*, when done correctly.
No one on this site will mix and master your vocals for you and chop every line up to fit the tempo, its very time intensive and usually is done by an audio engineer, which is not the general population on this site. Everyone's vocals are different, but once you find what works for you it'll become drastically easier. Everyone needs to start somewhere :)
AJHendricks I have been singing to a backing track and many times always with that or to a metronome.
He's not helping at all saying I am an inexperienced when I've been doing it for 30 years.
Pavelbizaoffi I said many times to leave me alone.
But you are not helping one bit by the untruthful hurtful tones and your helpers. Hip Hop is my specialty. Can you do any better as to write? Prove it then!
pavelbizaoffi There is nothing wrong with my recorder, levels or mic or singing. It's fixed as you can see but nothing is perfect. It's left up to the pros. :)
Why so much timbre in your voice? It's not normal to even rule the wrong thing! I listened to the original. Your vocals are completely not what they are (front vocals, rear and even double vocals are used there). I have a question what this genre is, because it's definitely not pop. I tried to fit your vocals to different types of cons, and nothing good (everything does not sound, although it should already sound)! Try removing so much timbre from your voice, diversifying the rhythmic component, and not repeating in vain so many identical phrases!
pavel I got too many complaints before.
And wanted to be more emotional.
And like I said I have a limited key range.
I don't always know what key I may or not sing in
each day!
Why is the tone specified as "D #"? This is not the correct tone (closest). I use this site to determine the tempo and tonality of https://tunebat.com/Analyzer (the site uses a neural network). "F # minor" is the correct close tone for subsequent editing in meolodyne or newtone and autotune!
pavelbizaoffi I am an alto and don't complain.
That's why there's so much timbre in my voice.
And it is Pop. You don't know unless you play with it.
Be open minded!
aquabuffet No most producers that aren't lazy will up the volume. But believe what you must.
Don't get it wrong by making others believe or professionals please. Move on.
Frankdubomb I'm looking for more professionals to do other songs. Are you a experienced or semi professional? I want something really good and am picky.
The scholar? Hardly. Have you tried putting any kind of pitch correcting on your vocals? This is why people are downloading and not using. It's a whiny and sounds off pitch. If auto tune is put on it, it jumps everywhere trying to correct because the pitch if the vocals aren't consistent but sloping. You act crappy like constructive criticism isn't the post important thing musicians could have. Here, you win. I won't help you at all like everyone else here. Congrats, you win. You are alone from driving everyone who has tried to help you away. Take care.
tman101983 Sure I did but you wouldn't know.
And I worked with lots and have lots of songs you don't
know about.
You didn't even listen to all of mine on here
and there's quite a few.
It's common knowledge that posture is very important when doing any kind of vocal work. If I tell you it's raining out you gonna listen since I'm not a weather man? If your singing sounds whiny it's the posture and larynx. It is common knowledge, you don't need to be a teacher to understand posture is very important when it comes to singing. You don't have to believe me, it's OK. Also, how does being mean make me a hipocrit. You were mean to people so I became mean back. That doesn't make me a hipocrit... That makes me spiteful. Also, quit holding a grudge.... What are we in middle school?
tman101983 or whatever your name is,
you invited me over to your school
and yes it does sound very middle school.
You don't know whether I'm crunched down or not.
I could say the truth know I sit down and don't crunch down.
But you think you're the authority of that now.
Before it was a cheap mic.
Make your mind up!
I sound like the scholar!
I produce for a handful of big artists. Youre right im not a singing teacher, however I am a producer and music teacher. You're mad because you were being mean to others and I was mean back to you. Also, you dont have to be a teacher to teach others. How many big producers do you know that are also music teachers? As I said, fix your posture and it will help with the whine when singing.
tman101983 Music teacher is not the same thing as singer. You're trying to correct something you don't know about. And for you to tell me I was mean kind of makes you a hypocrite. A really big one actually! And Frankly I don't have time for childish games.
Try adjusting your larynx. I think you sing good but you need to maybe adjust your posture when you sing. I dont think you need to "try harder" I think you need to adjust your posture when you sing.
tman101983 I'm not really talking to you anymore. You're not even a music teacher. And you haven't been very helpful but thanks anyway for the extra tip. ;)
