Hi, my name is Peter, aka The Hardstyle Maniax, I'm from Dundee in Scotland. I have been producing my own music since around 1995, when a friend of mine, introduced me to the joy of music making, a highly enjoyable task, although it can be stressful too, I have made several tracks, and will hopefully upload them on here. After initially my music having a hardcore edge to it, I decided to change direction and in 2008, I started to produce Hardstyle, I did struggle a bit at first but soon got into it. My first tracks were mainly experimental and trying to get the balance right in the tracks, but after a god few years trying to master it, in late 2019/early 2020 I done it, I finished the original version of my track This is a F Rave, Jeremy. Following that my next 2 releases were also well received The Future and Keep The Crowd Happy. This was followed by a 2021 remix of This is a F Rave, Jeremy which was also well received.

I can DJ (as stated in the first part of this), I have used various CDJ models, I have also used a variety of turntable decks too.

As above I can play the keyboard, midi keyboards, and can use the drum machine too

In the past have used Messiah and SID Wizard, along side emulators such as Goat Tracker and MusicStudio (this wasn't owned by me, these belonged to an ex girlfriends dad)

Have also used a different times the following:

Cubase, FL Studio, Ableton, Logic Pro.

And what I have used for the last few years and on my latests works: Magix Music Maker.

Keyboard and Mouse are essentially all I use, however, I have used (Midi keyboards, Roland 909, Korg Virus Synthesizers, drum machines, vocoder - all of these things were from my ex girlfriends dad)

As a huge fan of harder styles music, the likes of Hardstyle, Hardcore, Hard Techno and Uptempo, I have an array of influences, as above, I originally started my music making journey with the harder edge Dutch sounding Oldskool Gabber/Hardcore, influences included Neophyte, Darkraver, Gizmo and Paul Elstak. Some of my early hardcore sound also took influence from 2 of the United States' finest hardcore DJs, Lenny Dee and Rob Gee. I didn't have any influences as such for my Trance music productions, I just pieced somethings together to get those tracks. For my Hardstyle and Raw music, my influences are D-Block & S-Te-Fan, Isaac, Headhunterz (ever so slightly) and in recent times, I am trying to create a sound like Sickmode, Mish, Malice and Rooler, but haven't got that right as yet.

I would say some of my earlier stuff did sound pretty crazy, very hard kicks, when it should maybe not have had, a few friends back then said that they always knew when a song was mine, as the drums were absolutely chaotic.

I have improved on this, I will hopefully be able to upload more to my page to show this.

In my other life, I love attending Raves, and as stated previously I am also a DJ, and recently have taught one of my good friends how to DJ too. (So a lot of my outside interests are also associated with music too). I have a job too, in the hospitality sector, here in Scotland.
