I am all about creating unique vibes and blending hip hop/jazz/r&b/electronic music to accomplish this. With what goal? To satisfy any mood. To make someone dance, to make everyday life manageable, to move people. I never follow trends which might not be the popular route but I won't sell out by trying to sound like everyone else.
I play keyboards (by ear). If I need to create a loop I'll use my AKAI MPK Mini, but I really like the challenge of using exising loops and molding them to fit my music creations, blending genres with them to create my vibes. It is not as easy as it sounds.
I strictly work with Logic Pro X.
My MPK Mini by AKAI when I need to.
No one in particular. I mainly listen to Pandora and enjoy the carousel of music. I might not enjoy an entire song sometimes, but might like a part of one. I really dig music from the late 80's 90's and early 2000's. I feel some of the best hip hop and early electronic and alternative music came out back then. Not to say that there is great music being made now.
The Low End Theory, Pronounced Jah-Nay, See You In The Morning. There are others but this gives a decent cross-section of the vibes I dig.
Hip Hop, Jazz, Classical, Electronic, EDM, House even Pop to some degree. Not listening to anyone regularly. There are too many artists to name that influence me indirectly, but they all stem from those 7 key genres. I have been listening to music for a long time. I never copy, always use what I have heard to go in my own direction.
Hard to answer because I blend so much. I am not a one genre Producer/Musician. It depends on my mood. I would describe my music as either Chillout, Dance or Soundtrack vibes. All would fall under the wide umbrella of Electronic Music. The listener has to decide what I sound like, not me. I NEVER use foul language though when I choose lyrics. Others can do them and I'll do me.
Nothing exciting. Just paying rent but nothing illegal.
