I am a spoken word poet. I belong to a family of artists called the "Concrete Generation". Our goal in this world is to push ourselves to be the best artists we can be in order to influence others to do the same. My efforts in the music realm are hardly what I would call skilled, but I work to craft backround tracks for the poets who wish to display their work in the form of audio CD's.
Trying to learn piano, but would love to learn ANY instrument. The only instrument I've ever been able to play is a radio... and my own vocal chords
Pro Tools, Acid, Reason, Sound Forge, Fruity Loops, and Enigma
Large investments with little skill make for a fun but challenging workspace... I'm barly hanging on learning to use all this stuff... but currently working with:
Digidesign Mbox
Micro Korg synthesizer
Yamaha Keyboard
Numark DJX CD turntables
M-audio Trigger Finger
and Micro Trac recorder for mobile capture
Soundtracks to multiple movies...
GAMER
Animatrix
Any staind album
Bach
lil wayne
tori amos
anthony hamilton
marilyn manson
There are no actual TOP 10. I have no favorites
Same as current blow my minds stuff.... whatever hits the mood, get's the mood...
Edgar Allen Poe; Lewis Carrol; All Concrete Generation artists; crooked politicians; judgemental partents; and pretty much any musical genre I've ever heard.
The voice and/or inflection of its vocal artist. I listen to the artist's work first. Get a feel for the piece they wish to perform, and try to mold a thematic tribute to that work in the way I hear their voice exploding in my head.
