Born in the 954
still getting to know life, but I'm getting there.
Ahh, here we go. Ready? I started making music when I was Five... Guitar, vocals, bass, ukulele, keyboard, barely piano (I consider piano more technical than keyboard), Production, Drums, I write songs; both for myself and others (I love to collaborate), I played mostly Bari Sax for my middle school band but sometimes played tenor or alto, I've tried bass clarinet and tuba, but I didn't like how they felt, I don't know how to play it, but I have a violin in my room. I think that's it.
Fl studio 20. Using mostly the legal free VST's that I can find on Youtube and online.
I used to use Ableton live 9 lite because I got it free with an old keystation 49 I recently broke, but I switched to FL 12 because my brother had it on his old computer that he gave to me and my little bro and he put it on my laptop. I find the interface easier to understand and work with than ableton and I think that the plugins that come with Fl studio are just better(just an opinion). After realizing that I can only send tracks from 12 to 20 and not the other way around when trying to collab with a friend (he was in 20 and i was in 12) I updated to 20 on the computer and kept 12 on my laptop. Lately, I've been using 20 more often and use 12 when I don't want to stay at the computer while working on a project.
Zingyou BM-800 condenser mic from amazon__ cheap, but works really well and produces nice vocals and recordings of sounds such as: people talking, sounds you want to modify to make an instrument, live instruments like guitar and ukulele, and more.
Behringer U-Phoria UM2 audio interface__ Again, cheap, but really good. (I'm 16, I'm not going to spend a bunch of money on professional recording equipment when I can get the sound I want with sorting price low to high on amazon)
I use that to plug the mic into, which is great because it has built in ghost power. I also use it to record electric guitar (sometimes through the amp to get those effects and then into the audio interface, sometimes straight into the interface and then add effects there. It depends on what I create and how I feel the best way to reach the sound that I want for the recording.) bass, and mono from my electric drum set from guitar center.
Lately, I've just been listening to and breaking down the second youtube cypher. It's great, and I'm learning more about writing, making bars, and flowing on a track each listen.
Scorpion- Drake
Igor- Tyler, the creator
The gray chapter- Slipknot
?- X
Stokeley- Ski mask the slump god.
Really, almost everything I hear. I listen and make hip-hop, trap, pop, Rock, Metal, blues...ish, edm, etc. My favorite song of all time is Smells like teen spirit by nirvana, go to- probably something by slipknot, and random listening is probably and song I come across.
All over the place. Full on hype tracks to me fry screaming on a metal track to sitting down with nothing but an acoustic or almost-clean electric guitar with me singing. I'd like everyone to find something in my music. I listen to lots of different people and I think that it's what makes me experiment so much.
