On Soundcloud as PDXFractal.
Growing up in the young electronic scene of Portland Oregon in the 90's, I have a lasting love for the 4 on the floor beats of the past. As a novice and not so good rapper, I also love R&B and Hip Hop. I started creating beats a few years ago with Reason from Propellerhead and stick to either Electronic or Rap beats.
NONE and ALL of them
At this time I use Propellerhead Reason 6.0
I have an Akai Mini Keyboard somewhere in storage but really don't use any hardware at this time.
At this moment I am following a few people on soundcloud, such as https://soundcloud.com/jeromy-nail and https://soundcloud.com/shadow-assassin. I have collaborated with shadow assassin on a song called backspins which should be uploaded. both artists are very talented, Jeromy being a NW local Electronic DJ and Shadow Assasin an East States Rapper with a very unique style and sound. Outside of this, I will randomly play Pandora electronic station BT.
BONE - Thugs in Harmony, BT - The Hopeful Machines
I would say that BT, Armin Van Buuren, Daft Punk, Depeche Mode, The Cure, NWA, PM Dawn, Bone Thugs and Harmony, oops, I just realized that I'm creating more of a top chart for the 90's than influences. Although I love electronic and hip hop, all forms of music from rock to classic are influences in some way or another from the past to the recent. My main influence is Spirit. The Spirit of motion and emotion that best expresses me at that time and then being able to transfer that to another person is what drives me to keep making music.
4 on the floor electronic but unique flows and sounds and Rap beats with hard nasty bass to basic flows
"is there life outside of music?"
Like music, life is a constant flow of vibration and patterns. We choose to a degree the type of song our life will play, choose right and play it well.
