on Love Makes Me Crazy Work In Progress by Jowe
hey man, have you noticed the volume levels? it is way quieter than it could be! maybe a bit of mastering needed?
great stuff otherwise!
Jowe

Sorry for latency ! I was sure I replied to you o_o...
Indeed, some details have to be changed on that track. I'm currently working on my first album, but as soon as I get time I'll surely finish that loop mixing track. :P

Thanks a lot ! :)

on Best day of my life by IxCxE
nice motivational beat, the kick is a bit indistinguishable, but the synths are nice and tight
IxCxE
IxCxE replied 14th Oct 2013 - 12 years ago
I don't know why but the kicks was the only problem.

on The monsters under youre bed by Skleeborg
nice transitions!
there is a lot mid space open in the mix, perhaps some pads would fit in nicely?
these are some pads from the same pack https://www.looperman.com/loops/detail/66324

anyway, great job man!
Skleeborg
Skleeborg replied 13th Oct 2013 - 12 years ago

on The Benefit of a Doubt ft Farisha and Isaiah Page by SeriouslyJoking
the problem with the drums is that they aren't very well fitted in the mix, they should come a bit more forward instead of being to the left. they are very far away, especially when the dry female vox kicks in
keep them in the centre, and maybe add a more defined snare and percussion
other than that - it's a masterpiece! love the vox, the chilled atmosphere

hope this helps
SeriouslyJoking
SeriouslyJoking replied 13th Oct 2013 - 12 years ago
Hi and yes, I agree about the drums!
When I did this six months ago I really didn't know much about anything so my music producing skills really sucked - lol.
I'm still hoping to get back my inspiration and actually finish this song...and have been trying so a couple of times but it's not happening yet...strange considering this is my favourite of my own songs. Maybe it's beacuse it's all loops and nothing of my own really?

Anyway - thanks so much for listening and for the helpful advice!

on To be betrayed by evilarmy83
hey,
listening on Adam A8X, the snare is too loud, there is no bass and the cymbals are a bit too loud
other than that - cool riffing
evilarmy83
evilarmy83 replied 17th Sep 2013 - 12 years ago
Thank you!! I think that is part of my sound issue, is that I haven't added any bass track to any of my songs.... Thnx again!

on 4D4 DUBSTEP by edzwood
awesome wobbles
what vsts are you using? is that massive?
edzwood
edzwood replied 12th Sep 2013 - 12 years ago
Well some are from my upcoming commercial disc of wobble/wub/vowel style bass lines with drum loops. I used razor / glitch instruments and third party one shots processed with izotope trash 2. there are also some third party bass loops too. I mastered it with waves and ozone

on Funk you by davesmith1983
that's a sweet ass synth you got there
nice work!
I would keep the kick going in a straight 4/4 beat to keep the energy in one place, but that's my my subjective opinion
davesmith1983
davesmith1983 replied 3rd Sep 2013 - 12 years ago
It the reason i love to use massive, it's has such a powerful sound and you can make so many great bass line with it!

Cheers!

on zombie boy by daveydips
hey man, awesome job you did on the vox here
this could be killer
the only thing I've noticed is that it's hard to understand words because of the back vocals, and there is something very wrong with panning lol

if you need a hand in mixing, hit me up. I can make this sound epic

cheers

on Tribal Warfare by StaticNomad
wow, how did you synthesize the didgeridoo?
StaticNomad
StaticNomad replied 30th Jul 2013 - 12 years ago
I didn't synthesize it. It's just a didg patch in a bit of Propellerheads Reason software. No skill on my part there. However, I have actually synthesized a didg in another track that's on this site. Listen of course to the whole thing as it's one of my best (and I made it about 13 years ago when I was 20) but check out the part between about 1:53 and 2:45. That is pretty much a synthesized didg. I was using a hardware vocoder. My two sound sources were my voice into the mic and a synth clarinet patch. So there are clarinet notes that I'm modulating with my voice. If you think about it, clarinet plus a human voice is not far off what a didg is. I had no intention to synthesize a didg (I'm not that clever), it just came about from messing around with sounds and patches. Actually, I think I need to set it up again as it's pretty cool.
