Your tracks are always super interesting. The slow switch from 1:20-1:50 is awesome. I really enjoy the light and droning drums. It adds the right amount of drive to the wacky sounds.
Thanks, your words are very welcome, yours is an opinion that I have a lot of respect for. In this period I am looking for particular and unusual sounds to be able to make the Lovecraftian atmospheres that characterize my production. I was very happy that the organization of the Lovecraft Film Festival welcomed my songs to entertain the audience during the breaks. Best wishes
Very cool. Pretty solid lo-fi. Great instruments. Are they all loops? The quiet effects in the background are awesome. One suggestion would be to add more variation. After 30 seconds you've heard the entire track. Great track.
Thanks a lot man! I’m the Rapper on the track, and co-producer. Yeah, it’s an old track, that we lost the masters to (so I couldn’t do anything about the guitar level). Thanks for the support!
If you refer to buid-up framing... it's merit of the singer! It was present in the acapella. The only jobs i did were adding a multiband compression and a manual compressing, to equalize the volume.
Club track? Yes, it could be. But in my mind this is a modern Techno-Pop ahahha
Making tracks from scratch is one of the best ways to get better. Loops aren't bad, but when you force yourself to make everything you learn more. The drums sound great. The snare fills are particularly enjoyable. For longer tracks variation is key. Mix up the patterns to add diversity. Be sure to experiment and take risks. For example, that slipping sound at 1:02 is weird and very awesome. This is a great track. As long as you try, your tracks will only get better.
Thanks for the encouraging words, HeathAlexander. The grind never stops, so making beats that are just easy ain't my style. I love challenging myself, and I hope everyone else does the same.
Pretty cool. I like the vocal effects. The dissonant sounds throughout are interesting. I wouldn't call it indie though. It's pretty much just trap with ambiance. Cool track.
The section at 1:22 is awesome. I like this blend of pop and DNB. Subtle DNB is an interesting take. It'll be great to hear the finished track if this is the rough draft. Awesome track.
Very cool. I love hearing the fret noise and finger sliding. The stereo effect at 2:04 sounds awesome. The variety of instruments is fantastic. Great song.
Thank you, HeathAlexander
yes, some people say, that one should avoid finger sliding and fret noise, but I keep that with the friendly painter: we don't make mistakes here - just happy little accidents ;o)
Keep well,
Michael
Awesome synths. The build is great. I really like how short the first drop is, but immediately cutting to the second build felt a little disappointing. Maybe extending that ambient bit with the birds and soft pad would sound good. Great track.
Good stuff. The build from 1:40-1:50 sounds awesome, and so does the section at 2:40. The stab synth that plays most of the track gets a bit repetitive though. It'd be nice to hear it variate more. Cool track.
