Love the textures of those guitars at the beginning. Not used Reason in ages. This is giving me the itch to (yay for gear acquisition syndrome)
Bitcrushed clap after is really cool after the first 16 bars (at 0:29 it sounds like). Kick is too shy tho. Idk why but I'd want something harder
Those hats that get louder at like 0:48-0:49 are something I'd want to hear earlier on too (maybe like 0:42-0:43; basically like 8 bars after the kick comes in). Sorry to sound like a broken record, but I love the textures (& your sound designing in general). Are these all Reason rack devices at work for your sound generation & processing?
Last thing that caught my attention is dynamics related. I'd want to see some more filtering of kick in & out. For example, kick filtering out (or even being removed for a bit) when snare rolls from 0:55-1:08
This really gives me Stephan Bodzin vibes. Feel like the intro needs to be shortened though if you're looking to work on this track (or take anything from this track for future works of yours). Same with the breakdown
Specifically, I'd cut out the first 8 bars & start the song from that piano part at 0:16. Let it run for say 24 bars (so from 0:16-0:38). Cut out the next 8 bars (I think 0:38-0:53). And go straight into what you have from 0:53 onwards
I like the first drop. Most of the breakdown feels wrongly placed (that 1:41-2:13 part). Like it's supposed to be for a later section of the song. I'd cut it all out & go from what you have at 1:41 straight into the drop at 2:13 basically
That's my rough idea of what could stay/go if you wanted to develop this track. Hope it helps
Thanks a lot for the detailed feedback!
Really appreciate you taking the time to listen and shear your suggestions. I'll definitely work on the arrangent and try these changes.
Means a lot!
