Haha the title is funny and serious at the same time! What made me play it. Then the intro began oh man that was perfect insanity! Kept me waiting for some type of explosion to boom in that single finger salute, Like saying Fu with bite but thats just what I hear, what you have down is really good, I enjoyed it. Not lacking anything, very open runway into the battlefield. Epic, well done Dj! Ty for sharing with us, Keep going!

on Whole Tone Haunt by DanGoldstein

Hey Dan, After hearing Edwardian Haunted then hearing this is like the next stage scene. Could be a video game type theme, im playing to it in my mind and as odd as it may sound it works in a different but cool kind of way. Your studies with scales have been fun to dab into. The instrument sound at 0:20 into the track is a nice choice I enjoy working with that same type of sound as well as the one that starts at 1:00 into the track. Cool drums, got that dnb/dance feel which makes the mental thought of this composition very interesting for me. Fan of older synth sounds. All these new instruments are too much haha.

yea - actually i have put the whole thing together into a new track - combining original plus some development so you are right one with your comment. I have a lot of catching up to do as far as sounds go - might be using old school sounds for the duration at the rate i am going. glad you were able to stop by. I have a Halloween track contest going so I hope you will check out the art for that and pick something out to write for. Best regards - Dan

Hey buddy! Good to hear from you on this one! Of course I did not place high in the compo, I kind of expected that. I rarely work at a slow tempo like this, and it's been a while since I remixed... just needed some diversions and a wake up call. I think my biggest struggles recently are due to FL Studio... their plugin delay compensation seems pretty well broken in recent releases. Before v12, I never even thought about PDC, and in fact did not know that it was even there. Now it seems to take hours simply getting things in sync unless I use all native plugins (suck). I'm learning to adjust my workflow though. "The walk through your town..." That's funny... my town (literal city) looks like it has been carpet bombed right now! There is more construction now than any of the thirty or so years I have lived here. Big holes in the ground, empty lots, all night construction beeping, gravel where there were sidewalks, main road closed to let fracking trains through, blacktop smell permeates the air, and tweak is the real big underlying business. It's pretty hellish. Hope you are well!

Good energy from the guitar takes, drums are smashing well, nice job with that. Great break at the 2 min mark area, that's where it all really sets in and has this inescapable feel as if seeing things beyond what one knows locked in that asylum with you. Cool Lil Ramms type chugging happening here and there in the song. Dig how it breaks apart while pulling itself back together at the same time ha. Thanks for sharing, keep up the interesting work. Thank you for this great comment! It is my first music on fl studio, so, the string sounds are not very interesting for my taste. What I love in this track, it is the cello sound that I very insisted to do something of emotional.
