Its really interesting what musicians become stars and which ones aren't. As I listen to this, Ruski, there is no reason you should not be a star. This is on par with The Fray, Dave Matthews, etc. So very impressive, thank you for sharing this with the Loop. I will not be surprised to see you on Jools HOlland!
Thank you!! this means alot to me as well!! I am a great sequencer so It is easy for me to mix a track up and yes I am Bassmom so I spend my time in front of my pc and equipment and not in the kitchen!! lol!!! wait til you hear the track I just finished!!!
The DVi (VSTi) Les Paul is "Drop D" tuning with standard "2 note" power chords being played. I had to automate the crap out of the volume on the guitar track to keep the guitar from dominating the rest of the instruments. I tried side-chaining the guitar first, but it didn't work so well.
I would really like to hear this song with more mastering and production. I think its an awesome start! I love the mysterious, cinematic beginning and the sitar!
Wow, can't believe this was 5 years ago! Thanks so much for the feedback. It's great hearing completely unbiased opinions. It's really difficult finding people who are willing to give critiques. Anyway, I finally mastered the song, and uploaded to Youtube (along with others) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VVYnSycBWdA&feature=youtu.be. Thanks again. Cheers!
Oh yeah! This is some serious talent here, you should be on the radio with this right here! There is so much swagger here,Itzs better than a lot of "big" rappers, but I like how you kept it simple and just spit the truth, Im a fan. Anytime I want to show ppl the talent on looperman, Im starting with this.
I could imagine this being in the same realm as Dido or adult contemporary stuff I hear at an office or something! I love it, Looperman always has some surprises, you are very talented Minette!
Nuff respect dude; yes it was quite emotionally messed up to do this track, that I can tell you. It was recorded the week before he died. Sometimes when I am really messed up about the whole thing I listen to this track and I think, sometimes, that the reason he died was that I recorded it.
I could give it a shot, if you send me the lyrics and a mp3 of the track.
I dont do autotune though.
I like your vocals just fine though, dont be so hard on yourself!
I wanted the bass kick drum to be louder, thats the thing that really stood out to me. I agree with Becca, some strings might work in well too! Nice flow though
I am loving this! Im glad to have "found" you on the loop! This reminds me of when Metal could be about glorious quests and adventures ala: Iron Maiden, Armored Saint, or stuff along those lines!
I've been around here for a while, and I occasionally put some of my experiments on here. This is one of them. It's not finished, and rough around the edges, but as I learned soon enough, looperman is a perfect place to just put stuff on and get honest feedback.
Are you kidding me with this!! This is just .... so moving, its so contemplative. you are using all the chords in this that I skip over in the guitar books!!!!! Im so impressed to cyberknow you!!! Seriously, so impressive.
Wow. This is really so nice. Its just beautiful, do you by any chance listen to Donovan's Fairy Tale album, your playing on this reminds me a little of "jersey Thursday" except you do some more intricate leads in the mix! Very nice! I would love to jam with you someday with acoustic guitars, you could teach me so much I imagine!
This really gets the Type o groove big time! I was unaware that he had passed away! I used to like Piledriver back in the day! "Predator" and all that... cool shock stuff. I love how eerie that chorused guitar sounds over the hard distorted guitars
This is really ambitious, it sounds sooooo current and up to date, I love that it is great! The break at 2:45 is seriously spine-chilling, that is great. The vocal doesnt do anything for me, Lyrically it works and maybe its just me, Im old.
I understand its in that new vibe Ive been hearing in some tracks like ummmm... that one band the kids are into.... I cant remember. But this is really impressive!!!
Thank you chris, believe it or not, this was the last song I wrote for my old rock band, but when we broke up, i kind of took it in a different direction, as you can hear :) I'll be sure to give your tracks a listen!
This is a cool chilled out track over 2 or 3 chords. I would love to hear you add a change for a chorus and maybe a solo break change too. I appreciate all the different instruments that are in there, nice variety. Is that real tambourine? Im guessing its not, but wasnt sure
This is really awesome! Very impressive, altho I have to admit it seemed to take a long time to develop, Im not sure the first 12 seconds or so is doing anything for the piece.
thank ya, and yes it took more time than other tracks, in fact im still workin on it.. im changin dat intro hope ya hear it when it's done. cheers take care
Yes, I would agree, its pretty basic, but I do like what you've done with it, its a nice piece. I like how it gets almost darker after about 1:38. Good work, Id love to hear lyrics on it
good job!, you just got a little pitchy in two or three spots, if you can get those smoothed out, this will work. hey whats your email, I have our duet ready!
hey, thanks for listening... appreciate it... well, about my email, i sent a message to you already... and i'm excited about it... about the pitchy parts... well, that's because i'm using a webcam mic... anyway, thanks again...
thank you for making me your favorite female voice... i really appreciate it... :) doing a duet with you would be really an honor... thank you again...Bless ya...
