You are at the edge of something which could be really good. Yes, I feel that the voice is too much low and the background music too much Loud. Try to balanced the 2 lines. I think that there is something Fragile in this expression. You hold a piece which can give more if you try to modifiy this.
But, it's only my little opinion. What is important is too try !
absolutely dan! i've been meaning to give this one a lot of work and a lot of thought, it was pretty much just to showcase an idea. Really appreciate that comment man.
What I try to do is to make poeple listening their compositions closing their eyes, and listening again and again until their are fed up with because something wrong wrong comes. And without anyone, they discover what it's possible to modify to make their productions more acceptable for the others (and for themselves), because they are able to evaluate where they can create a real harmony. But, what I suggest is only due to the fact that I'm very sensible to avery noise, I'm close to an adept of silence. And begining from this concept, the music appears light to compose.
You are a learner like every one. Be a learner all your life !
Nice, but may be there is too much reverb. So, I like. Get your voice ahead, I have the feeling you are not at the first level. Your voice is your print, so , give it its real energy.

I like very much your composition, but just one question : don't you think that your drum line is a little bit too loud. I think that your keyboard melody has to get the first step. They can't be at the same level, no ?
