I actually just listened to ths chick on datpiff.com who would tear this up. I 4get her name but her mixtape cover is a pic of her with blue dangling earrings on. Nice track. Could picture this one doing extremly well commercially. Also, love the mixdown and variation!
Fl has some nice tools you can use for your mixdown to give this beat a little more umph, play with them cause this track is nice. A little more variation to the arrangement and a tighter break would be good. Turn up the other instruments just a lil. Against your lead, accapella and drums they are kind of hard to hear. Also, if you swing the hat just a little at the end, it would add more vibe to it. (t,t,t,t,t,t,t,t,[twice] then go double time with minor swing ttt,t,t,ttt,t,t back to normal)
This sounds like some of the stuff my boy Darnell was making when he first started taking it serious about 7 years ago. U should hear him now. Keep it up.
Thanks for the listen and review my man. This was from my acapella another person did the beat/mixing; was more of verbal spray to my other track. I still need to get better at mixing and production as a whole(I know the vocals could of came out better if I was lol), but thank you very much again. Peace
What would make this track supa hot is if the singer sang off beat a lil when she got 2 the hook afta u'r verse. It adds a lil variation to it. I like the song though, serious music. If u diggin the beats, I'll see about tossin u one, or if u have an accapella, I'll make sumthin 4 it. Happy holidays and God bless
all the music u do is real soulful. I'm putting 2gether a compilation album. would love to have u join up. If u interested in contributing, let me know I'll send u the info second2noneent1@yahoo.com
I can dig u with working on Fl8 w/o a keyboard or midi ocntroller. I've been confined like that for months especially when u listen 2 some of the stuff I've posted using only a keyboard, no loops or samples and I've only gotten better @ creating beats since then. Keep u'r music whut u want it 2 be.
U can say fuller is better, but it depends on who u'r working with. When working with a lyricist, simpler is better. This can easily be an r&b track just by adding a melodic harmony over it.
xactly....lol..that's how i feel...when i do get a midi or keyboard, and purchase some more sounds...i'll kill it...i can expand and grow more...appreciate the comment
