Great track, got a nice heavy feel to it. The bass seems pretty good to me, it sits nicely in the mix with the drums.

Cool song! Like Spivkurl said, the percussion in this is really good. Im finding percussion a bit of a stumbling block in my songs, i just cant seem to get it to fit with my songs perfectly, you've done a great job here though, very pro sounding!

hey! This song is really cool, the drums sounds and percussion are really good here. The only thing is the transitions from verse to chorus etc could be a bit smoother, great song though!

I like how you have fused the two genres. A solid beat with that heavy distorted guitar sounds really good. What effects do you have on the bass?

The bass was taken from Live7 as a preset sound(can't remember which one now though), sequenced and heavily distorted using the tube plugin and overdrive in Live7. I recorded that into Logic, split it over two channels and EQ'd so I could treat the mid and bottom seperately. I then compressed both channels and added a phaser to the top end. I was aiming for something similar to the snarling bass sound Cliff Burton used to make ;)

The pads sound perfect, but i agree there should be a synth somewhere in there too!

Hey man, thanks for the review! I like the bass in this song, is that the analog subtractor? I also like the sort of effortless guitar or whatever it is at 1:30~. Overall its a really nice smooth track.

Heh cool! Yeah dubstep is all about the bass. Thats why i love it. I mean i loved bassy songs before dubstep came along so its just perfect really. Glad you liked this one, Its not my favorite as it doesnt really tend to go anywhere, but its just a nice chill-out tune i guess, you've re-kindled my love for it :) thanks!
