if you listen to most mainstream trap beats, the hihat often is piercing at times. This is because in contemporary hiphop, vocals are often given a good hunk of the high end of the frequency spectrum. This gives little room for our hihat to punch through, so I mix mine to be very present so when they lay those vocals down, you can still feel the groove of them very strongly. I suggest you do the same for you if you are interested in this style! Thank you.

Thanks. I agree, the bars are heavy. It musically for the beat, isn't all the way there. At the end of it, I feel the lyrics are better suited for an ambient type beat. Or removal of the melody and just have a raw beat. I already had to axe parts to make it fit as this, literally 2x the material. My production lacks heavily. Thats up to the producer if he wants to work it or not. If not, well I'm onto the next one. Eventually I'll find that person I am looking for. Till then, I'ma shove myself out there.
