nice. love the intro and the muted trumpet, vocals fit well with the groove. you should see my shoulders moving...and the band poppin in and out of the background gave it a nice touch, sounds real good in my Bose.

the strings make it a gentle rnb beat, the horns kind of turn it up a bit, gentle to the ears. being a vocalist, gotta go listen to the version with the lyrics.

Yes, though the track is a funeral dirge, I don't see that myself as a sad thing. It's merely the passing from one reality to another, so no reason for a dirge to be particularly mournful, eh?

I've listened to them both after I did my version, it is a different artistic approach and it's perfect like that, it is a forgotten concept that a song can be may different things, my version will not appeal to all I'm sure, I'm just glad it appeals to you.
