Its sort of the kind of song you hate at first, but after listening to it (on the radio) a thousand times it grows on you, you never learn all those strange "sounding" vocals but find yourself in the bathroom mocking the guitar licks in front of a foggy mirror
its annoying isnt it thank you for your confirmation of its desired effects and abrasive ive remixed it so many times if you care to hear previous versions they are avaiable on Jango under eric treibel
Heyyyyyy, right off this reminded me of Soul To Soul's "Keep On Movin", the beat and the vibe. Their muzic was inspirational, had a way of changing your mood to good or better...regardless of their career choices, hehe.
Perfect placement on the pella! Adds delightfulness to the already dreamy atmosphere.
I love the way this starts, and of course I love the live atmosphere. Those horns are so yummy.
If I remember correctly the Quincy song you are referring to, toward the end, breaks and then keeps playing. I could be thinking about a different song, but this sounds very good! A nice addition to the looperman collection.
Thanks allot, Patricia, glad you liked it and took the time to comment. Actually, I was mistaken. It was the Ramsey Lewis Trio that did the version I was thinking of. I had the Quincy version, but it's more of a big band sound. Here's Ramsey's version: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rv3pT2JV66g
It even starts out with the crowd noise and clapping.
Purple squares...mine are white, I should paint lol.
Your description fits this well. It actually is rather hypnotizing, almost like being in a trance, or some sort of place you can't get out of, almost like an out of body experience.
Hi Patricia.. special thx for leaving a comment.
I really appriciate to get a comment from one of loopermans key playerz !! One of your pellas is on my to-do-list since 2 month. But i am always busy with other things ..unfortunately :(
Ok, so I listened to this 3 times, and I'm trying to find the words to describe what I think about it.
At first I thought, oh, the reverb on the vocal isn't bad, it kind of adds to the atmosphere of the muzic (which is beautiful by the way). But I think as I listened more, it may be a (very small) tad much, some would be fine.
And the 3rd time I listened to figure out the words, not sure what can be done to brighten it to bring them out more. But I really would have liked to know what you were saying :-)
The vocal being a little in the background is a plus, I like that.
nk you for taking the time to listen thank you yeah I agree to much reverb can be lessened ive been slacking on the looperman fro recently ill be posting more stuff soon
You're right about the level, Patricia . I did it on purpose as I don't see it as a track . More like something to "escort" our thoughts or prayers .
Thank you for having stopped by and joined me in prayer .
Very nice! Really like how you "tricked out" Bunnierabbits vocals with kind of a rough thingee going on, creative! And the rap, good idea too, totally added to everything.
Thanks Pat. Yep,i didn“t spend too much time adjusting the vocals,i just "winged it".I cut here and there and quickly placed the vocals in the song just according to the feel alone. So sometimes the vocals kinda overshoot the whole structure of the song. I like that approach cos it makes you think the song in more strange way.
Hello, and thanks for the comment. I'm sorry for the late response but I've been swamped with work. The Final version is now out, if you would like to listen: http://www.looperman.com/tracks/detail/146781
Thank you, I'm glad you like it. I still need to do some more arranging and mixing so it can sound extra special. But I'd figure I'd upload this for the people to listen. You're truly a gem!
This is really good. Sensual & sexy. Creative, LOVE the guitar! Treatment of the vocals...mwahhhhh! I think this the first time I don't mind them being pitched.
Hey Bonita!!! First let me just say your video gave me goooooooseee bumps!!!! I was listening/watching via my phone the other day...didn't have time to leave word. Congrats!!!
As for SmallPaul...I ain't got no idea...I only hope he's alright and just caught up in the business of life. Thanks for stopping by!
I don't guess it matters much that I couldn't follow you on the tempo/beat, but I really like the live vibe on this. It made me sway from side to side and those claps are a real plus!!

Thumbs up!
I loved Soul to Soul back in the day. Kym Mazelle was on The Voice UK this year and nobody turned for her, go figure!!
I wonder if Madiba liked them?

I think the bells bring in the mood of the track quite nicely, as well as the vocals. The solo toward the end rock! And out with he bells, great idea.
Job very done to all involved.

Its something how our mood can play such a big part in how we interpret muzic, right now this is just right.
Those cellos/oboe/violins? strange here, but don't take away from the piece, it gives it an abstract feeling, I like that?
Thanks for sharing Kenny!
