WoW! This cover is beautiful!!! I like the analog color given (correct me if I'm wrong) to the drums and bass.... they have a very warm and fuzzy feeling!! The vocals are spot on... they fit perfectly within the mix very clear and well articulated!
I haven't replied to your comment on my demo feedback but I have a question... I also want to be a songwriter but you see... singing is not my thing... I can spend hours creating musical ideas and compositions but vocals and lyrics stand in my way as an obstacle rather than a task to complete. In your books, can there be a songwriter who does not write lyrics, but just musical compositions to sell/publish?
Hiya DJValdez! First, thank you for listening to the track. I'm happy to know you enjoyed it. I really appreciate it!
Second, yes music compositions can be sold and published without lyrics. However, I would strongly suggest you team up with a lyricist or a singer-songwriter for each of your compositions; or, you might want to forge a long-term partnership with one. You can work it in any manner that fits your creative approach. Of course, you'd have to share the copyrights, if it's not a "work for hire" situation.
I am always open to collaboration if I come across something that appeals to me.
I would love to hear a top line at least after the fist 16 bar in the hook over that brass synth using a higher octave maybe!!! not sure if i made myself clear there? If you are left clueless i will try to explain better.
Damn that kick and snare blend perfectly with the piano loop (i have that Rhodes sample too). The vocals could be louder but of course that is my 2017 ears talking, its all up to you if you want the vocals to sit with the mix, under or above!!, Great song ill be referencing some of my mixes with this beat if you don't mind.
That is very energetic and fast paced song, keeps me entertained!!! Those vocals somehow sound commercially produced no lie, you did a great job here no doubt about that!!
Thats a great record right there, but the vocals tend to get a little out of hand there. The rest of the instrumental is great though and all track levels really belong where they are now.
Im currently trying to gain some practice on my mixing and mastering. so, if you are up for the task I wouldn't mind taking an attempt to mix and master the song for you although the my mastering might be shitty. I just want to improve.
Thank for the feedback. You can leave me your email in another comment, or email me directly at phantomcash23@yahoo.com so I can give you the files to mix.
Wow, that's a great instrumental! The mixdown is almost perfect but in my ears I would love to hear that snare cut through the mix a little more. An eq would probably be all that you need to accomplish that.
There have been a few people saying that the project is too monotone, which was done by design. How else would you feel if you lost your dreams, and felt there wasn't much left in life for you? So we felt an incredibly melancholy tone was needed.
Yeah I think It sounds great, you did a good job of keeping the song intact when mastering and not brick walling it. I'm sure your friend will be proud of that!!!
Great track, at this point I would probably compress the kick and snare (not sure what plugins you have in your arsenal) a little more to reduce their dynamics and give them a little more warmth.
great beat man, da un sentimiento de aspiracion. Great chord progression and melodies. Tambien te rifastes con la mezcla y el mastering. En mi pagina tengo dos instrumentales de reggaeton por si puedas escuchar y dar

That guitar sets the tone and the vocals just enhance the eerie sound.
