I know exactly what you mean by it ending too soon. I have a funny feeling this is going to turn into one of those Epic long ass songs, with me sinking more time into it. I wanted to get the rough idea down ASAP with what I was hearing inside my head. I live a block away from a convientent store, I found myself singing out words and practicing some prospective vocal Comps. I was really uncertain what the hell I was singing when I laid down this track and it's rather weak. I hear another chord that the opening here is wanting to move to. I might experiment with it some. I do need to get my hands on some killer TOM drums and Cymbols to pull off the part that kicks in for Drive. I don't know what the Next Level of this song is going to go to, what it's going to sound like. I'm open to any suggestions or ideas anybody wants to toss out. Even loops or whatnot. 120 BMP is what it's set at. :-)
I was not even thinking about NIN or Tool as influences, but LOL.. now that you mention it. I might become ambitious and get out my Shure Beta and do some real vocal comps. I used my Cheap Ass Labtec PC microphone to record the improv vocal idea. Thanks for the review..
I dig it dude. 1:04 reminds me of a sound that could be in a bad ass movie scene... like the rabbit being chased in 'Snatch'. I like how you dont stick to one type of music!
my first thought was: this could be John Spencer's Blues Explosion ....
I love that raw and dirty style!!!
amazing and incredible track ...
awesome ...
Thanks man, It took some work to make some of the clean loops dirty to blend with the others. Then take everything to a clean sound in the Jazzy Bridge Section. I was feeling a bit Jack White and Eric Clapton on the main grooves. The Feedback guitar sort of Steve Stevens. The Jazzy Bridge reminded me of something Spyo Gyra would pull off. I tried to pump things up before going into the Jazzy Bridge section. A Rockin Pre-Bridge? Kick back into the Punkish Groove, back to the Blues Groove.. well you get the idea. I had to take it all down to electronic Synth work at the end. The fun part is matching up a bunch of loops to a steady groove in the same key.
very well done, i think some of your trent style vox seeping in and out of this could be very cool but not over the top maybe set back quite a bit so they`re just audible.
One of these days I'm going to get around to rerecording this song from the ground up. I used a cheap ass $10 labtec PC mic to record the vocals. This is an early recording I made when I started working with DAW software. The only loops I used on this was for the drums. I did a hell of a lot of slice and dice on the drums loops to get the fills, Cymbol Crashes. The rest of the song is me playing the Tracks. The Bass, The guitar tracks and vocals are all me. What I enjoyed the most was that I was able to lay down a basic drum track then go back and redo it with fills, rolls and other things added. The Drum loop work on this track took a lot of time.
Nice quack you've got going on there...the slow Hop beat is very effective here....it gives plenty of space to linger and then jump to the groove....cool touch on the axe!...cheers planet :)
Haha..this is cool...I love musical journey's...after every vocal insert your accentuating the beat..that's clever it gives the composition momentum..I'd like to hear this pumping over the sound system in the "Pope Mobile"...cheers planet :)
Dude that was awesome. I got that bad girls loop in an old acid loops bundle from acid 4 a bud gave me, you have a nice touch we used some of the same loops I tend to go the comedy route I like your stuff great job Oh there,s a cream for that sensitive spot on her lol. Bug Zapper

I'm debating about tweaking the kick drum tracks a little to keep the dance drive going for a club. This is the first track I added a kick track specific for subwoofers along with the regular kick. A Dual kick drum track of sorts. I tried to layer the Driving Dirty Bass synth Phat and deep enough to go into sub-woofer land as well. I have yet to check this mix out on a killer DJ system yet.
hey dude!!!
you reached a fantastic level in the meantime ... your skills in mixing and arranging are really impressive!
though you've turned to the electronic genre it's still audible that you're basically a rocker, your songs are still rocksongs, but your soundscapes are so creative, this makes your work extraordinary ...
in the end you simply make damn cool music!!!
Thanks Man. I was going back listening to some of my mixes from last year. They are missing so much bottom end and in general the mixes are not as great as they could have been. I still remember downloading Music Maker with the intention of just recording song ideas. Sort have been pushing myself more and more with mixing and arrangement lately. Sort of fun playing around with electronic composition because it's so different from playing music out live in a band.
