The way the drums works for the track defines the track. And I think it will guide you to an evolution of this piece of music. I believe you have put things to the right direction and some more effort is needed to complete this song.
Best regards, Anthony
Man that is so hypnotic and a bit psychedelic, this feels so mesmerizing. I completely vibed with it. I think you are going in the right direction in your search for new energy.
Asociale, thanks for the kind words and all the love you've shown me man, I really appreciate it.. this is just the beginning of a new chapter in my musical journey, this track has really brought me to the next level.. more is coming.
Hey hey Kayos2.. your comment is always the highlight of my day!! Slip n sliding for sure haha.. you know exactly what my intentions are in this track.. I'm tryna be smooth lol
For sure this one is one of my favorite newer mainstream tracks or at least I think it has commercial potential. It might be time to seriously put together an album, I'm almost there but not yet.
For now I will just enjoy this positive feedback you gave me and the love people are showing me here on Looperman before continuing on to the next project.
Nicely named and nicely done. I have the words "scientia est potestas, musica est potestas, utraque est una vox" tattooed on my chest. The 808 bass sound originated in hip hop (and RnB), its just a prominent feature of trap. Id definitely only use certain 808 sounds for Classic hip hop, another set for 2000s, and yet another set for modern. You're not going to find many classic hip hop songs with the long note 808s that are all over trap, such as the cliche at this point spinz 808, or the heavily distorted high attack drill 808s (or even 909s in some drill). The short and bouncy bass hits of hip hop just hit different, literally and figuratively, especially as commonly paired with actual bass guitar. Im glad your striving to evolve, man. Btw did u get the song i sent you? The song from my old band?
Hi Pnnywze, what's up! Not yet I haven't seen the email, I will check my mailbox again..
Thanks for dropping by and sharing your comment, you have a lot of knowledge about the music industry interesting, I always learn something new from ya.
..thanks for the blessings and for the listens man, I've seen you on my other tracks as well, this is what motivates me to continue making music, thanks again! Seriously.. take care and stay humble G
For a moment, I imagined some good old-school rap, like 2Pac's style but with this tune. Very nice and fresh vibe, and if you decided to leave it without vocals, that'd be an awesome soundtrack for anything! Good job bro!
Yes, for sure i will not record vocals on this, i want people to fill in the parts with their own "vocals" and create their own scenery when they listen to this, too often we dictate to people what they should think in hip-hop.. but I want people to be free and think of anything they want.
2pac is one of the greatest hip-hop artists ever! He still lives through us old school producers hehe.. I never imagined I could make music like this man, for me this is also a milestone and to my surprise i keep reaching new levels. Proof that as long as you stick to something you will see progress no matter how slow at first.
Thanks Anthony, appreciate your words, this is for me also a once In a lifetime type of track to produce. I am happy that it resonates with different people in different ways.
Interesting how for everyone the listening experience is different than what I had in my mind when I created it. For me the scenery is a more spiritual/monk, buddhist temple type of thing.
But the sun breaking on the horizon or watching the earth from outer space and the sun comjng up behind it would work as well.
Thank you a 1000 times for sharing your experience with me.
my goal and intention was to make the beat sound like it was recorded in a BIG church or cathedral.. with the angel choirs close to the ceiling and the church being lit up by rays of light coming through the stained-glass colored windows.
Hey Gixxie, I think thats a really great guitar part. Nice and spacey. Kind of Eddie Hazel-esque, too. Youre approaching it with the right mindset... Hats off to you!
Cheers,
Micky
