The idea for the melodic synth came from the piano loop, which I really like. ;)
I added a slight distortion to the drums to give them a bit of warmth.

You're probably right, it's definitely a bit like that I tend to make pop, a little rock, and sometimes electro; I try a bit of everything when I have the time.
The a cappella was going for a heavy-metal style.
I'm going to label it as trip-hop.
