WOW! Im loving it! This is nice! And i like how u perfectly mix'd everything 2gether! Volumes are perfect and everything! Nice job! Jus cant wait 2 hear it with the sythn melodies u said u were going 2 add! :)
Don't hate me for the late response! Thank you for listening and evaluating. Always-always-always appreciated from you! Gotta remix this...just been so busy! I'll send your way when I get to it. Happy Holidays to you!
Another cool sounding track...very nice. So hows it been hangin girl? See you have been keeping busy...keep pushing...never give up the dream.
Chow,
Mark
Hello Mark! Wow...guess I'm a little late responding....better than never as they say! Thanks for the compliment! Yup, been pushing...tryin to keep up with the times in the music scene, although I will always have that retro thingy goin. Hit me up on email if you ever want to collab....
needs a bass groove sister nice key and mix off cover groove but it need that bass lick , if you can send me the track in separate as mp3 to 'boogieskippo@aol.com' and tell me the bpm's that will be find.
boogieskippo.
lets do it GG. contact me through the site.. i like the sound of it but timings are off JUST a little bit on some vox. message me whenever you are able to work on it. i wanna get back to that song, but i have no motivation to do it...this will make me get it done lol
Yeah...let's do this. I'll message you this weekend when I have more time. I also think Farisha might have some good ideas on how to expand her lyrical story here?
Thank you very much!! Definitely try to keep it edgy. I don't want it to sound too much like older stuff, so I put a lot of textures and change ups to keep it unique.
Really cool originality here. Could here on a soundtrack of some sort. Check this site out...It is like Facebook for music composers http://www.stage32.com/welcome2/ Very cool site...think you can get some work...if that interests you.
Chow
this one is a trip gg....the acoustic gives it an almost western vibe...until the electric guitar parts kick it up to rock land....again, I must say I like the compositional ideas with the little breaks & changeups but with that driving beat & bass-synts lines that just keep it moving on....definitely the kind of mix that lends itself well to the soundtrack of the right kind of pictures....another dandy......Ed
Really like the thinking that went in the composition gg..real chill, butat the same time the beat sections just keep it driving & the ears perked...enjoyed it well done...Note the comments on lever (vocal ) I always insert a voilume envelope or volume automation to automatically ride the track volume and also insert a compressor..you will read different opinions but in my experience (25+ years recording) vocals in most styles benefit from compression....in any case I like it as is, but would be better with the vocal levels up a fair bit & more even....keep on...good to hear you around the Loop....Ed
Thank you and mucho apologies for the delayed response. I've been told on my other tracks that compression is needed. That is my next feat in this self taught hobby. As the saying goes - it's a labour of love. You know what I'm talkin bout.
Hi mate nice work here you can really feel the Depeche Mode influence on the track, the only thing I would suggest is maybe a little play with the levels in the final mix as the vocal track gets a bit drowned in places, and I would make it a bigger feature in the mix as it works really well!! Keep up the good work!!
Second...yes, I know the vox get drowned a bit in places. It was quite difficult to level all of the parts out - some spots were quite blaring, while others were much softer. In the end, I could use some tips on how to handle those kinds of situations if you've ever had to deal with that. I literally spent days trying just to normalize the volumes of the different parts.
Thirdly, I built the track around her vocals. I felt a very jazzy vibe from her, so I made sure to use jazz beats.
Finally, the song sort of morphed into a meaningful topic about bullying. I'm quite pleased it did as it's become a subject of concern lately in the schools.
Thanks for listening and I love your avatar - the cassette tape. Long live pencil winding!
Very well arranged......soulfull lyrics workwell with the vibey chords at the start along with the jazzy bass gutair lots of ups and downs...something to be very much proud of mate!!!
Thanks much! I like to provoke mood changes in my tracks...looks like it was accomplished on this one. Thanks for noticing.
Back in the 80's when I would make mix tapes (haha) I made sure to put songs in such an order that I felt would take the listener on a journey. So, that kind of structure reflects in my tracks too. And not so much on purpose...just instinctual really.
I like what you did here. I'm not really into this kind of sound, but this is pretty refreshing and caught my attention. Very different, but cool. It's a pleasure working with you. :)
Thank you. A true musician/artist will appreciate all things creative. It's good to be open to different sounds. Super glad you approve. I'm watching out for more of your work. I stated earlier on your acapella that the vocals were good as is. Yes, they worked for this track, but holy heck I had to splice up the volumes on different parts of each take because some spots were louder/softer than others. If and when you get new and improved equipment I would love to collaborate again with you specifically on this track (maybe others) so we can really get that beautiful voice of yours more noticed.
At first excuse me, if I write nonsense, but sometimes I´m looking for the correct English words.
As I told you before I love that song. The beginning is mysterious and it should go on after the drums started. So you definitely need to make an extended mix. Maybe you can use some loops.
You tell me, you´ve got difficulties making tracks more than 4 minutes. But don’t consider time. A song needs some kind of structure. Introduction, bridge, main part, end. I know that it isn´t easy to plan a song in parts, but I can tell you what I do.
After I planned the mood and the basic idea some tracks seem to come to me at once, they appear and then the precision work begins. I try different sounds and options. I burn the song on a cd and listen to it in my car while I drive to work. So I hear what is missing or what I´ve got to change.
I hope this was helpful for you. Next thing I´ve gotta do is to listen to your soundcloud stuff.
Maybe you can take a look at my video clips, because if one of my songs has been done I do a second thing: the video clip. http://www.youtube.com/user/House7th/videos?sort=p&view=0

This song makes me nod my head, my right foot starts moving, what happens? When the drums started, I was gone in the rhythm. I could hear a lot more of that tune.
Yes, it does build quite nicely, then kind of shuts off. I see what you mean. Which makes me wonder if I should make an extended mix or something. What would you recommend? I've had difficulties making tracks more than 4 minutes as far as cohesion...just started doing this. Thanks for any feedback. You can message me here if you'd like. Greatly appreciated!
PS. I'm also on SoundCloud if you want to check out my beginner tracks. They're kinda fun too.
Thanks Killa! Really cool simple beat you crafted there. This was the second track that I used at a significantly lower BPM. It opened a whole new world for me slowing things down a bit. Thanks for the tip too! So glad it worked for both of us. I'll keep an eye out on you...you have good instincts. :)
Hiya GG my friend. Lovely piece of work you have created here. Dreamy, blissfull, relaxing, easy on the ear, simple yet not dull. Lovely switch when the drums kick in. Then that bass just rolls along like a Rolls Royce fulla helium. Quality work indeed.
