This is cool. It's kind of the same genre as like, Falling In Reverse. Well, at least from what little of them that I've heard. That's more Mrs. V's style of metal. I tend to lean more into the Deathmetal and Deathcore. But that's totally beside the point. The point is, this is good.
I dig the mix overall. But I do think the guitar could come up just a touch. They're a little quiet in there. Just my opinion, brother.
So, as far as the vocals go, which parts are you, and which parts are from the sample? Also, are you playing the solo bit starting at around 2:17?
I saw that you and Aaron were talking about dark music personas...yeah, I can relate. For may years now, Valvedriver has been known here for being one the darker ones of the place. ...and, much like the two of you, it's in contrast to my daily self. So, I dig it, man. I get where you're coming from.
Anyhow, I hope all is well.
Take care.
V.

Yeah I listen to literally every genre of music out there (except jazz I f*ckin hate jazz lol) and one of my favorite things to do is blend genres. All vocals in the song are mine except for the chorus screams which is from Verseza here on looperman (really wish I could scream like that lol) and yes also all guitar parts in the track are myself playing organically into the DAW. Appreciate the feedback bro im glad you enjoyed I admire your work lol.

It is a difficult song but it is a difficult situation you need to share. I agree it is a relief, that is how music should work. You have managed a realistic or maybe a surrealistic description of your sentiments, it is art. If you need to be loud maybe this is the best substitute to try. Very well done
Best wishes, Anthony

Yes we all use music as a form of expression and release I think, this one came out pretty dark but it just flew out into my daw lol, thanks bro.

Really digging this Dusty! that flow you have reminds me a lot of Linkin Park's first album, but I totally get what you mean by a Frankenstein with it, because I can def hear all those other genres it draws from. Really comes together nicely though! Thank you for sharing this!

what the phonk is going on here, i like what you did. im very impressed. its kinda hard to combine these genres but that is awesome. i working on something like this for 6 months and never cracked the code. but damm your vox glues it together. i dig your flow and fits perfect. the quality of your baritone is good craftet and never gets into a wannabe baritone thing. thank you for uploading and if you ever need a bassist. i would be happy to do some stuff. i got like a korn like bass tone in mind for some bridges. love from a banana

Bro, so cool track, can I tell my insight, it feels like on firs drop should be some explosion of energy like somebody screaming or need to play on drum like crazy if you know what i mean , anyway I like it, just always in my head looking for best in MY opinion ))

Thanks man, and yeah I agree I can't metal scream unfortunately that's what I really wanted to hear there lol. Couldn't find any samples that I liked on looperman either. But I hear you appreciate the listen.

I should mention that I'm planning an entire project of this ilk to start work on soon, and I've been looking to involve some others. I'm thinking Industrial/metal/trap as that core of it, with 808 basslines throughout. If that interests u, shoot me an email and we can talk more. - Aaron

First, I gotta say that your words hit close to home. I also suffer from severe anxiety and panic attacks, and even depression, at times. My girl and I were attacked and severely mauled by a pit bull last year, and that quadrupled the anxiety, especially when I hear a dog barking. I hope u find solace in music, as I do. I have a dark musical persona, but that contrasts strongly with who I am in everyday life. I try to be kind and understanding in every way I can, as my mother was. If u ever need a chat or anything at all to help u through a rough patch, I'm an email away. Meanwhile, the guitar has been calling to me again, it was the first instrument I fell in love with. Glad to see it calling to u, as well. 7 string, huh? Been listening to Korn or Slipknot? Lol. Well done, man. Ill have to give this another listen.

Lol I appreciate that bro, but nah I'm good despite what I say in some of my lyrics and music. I also have a dark musical persona lol, always have and probably always will. Sometimes I like making more upbeat stuff but the dark stuff just comes so easily you know what I mean I hear it in your music also. And hell yeah bust out the guitar lmao I had fun even though I just played some simple tones and easy melodies nothing to wild as I didn't want it to sound like a metallica song xD I added lyrics now and its even darker than it was haha. But yeah again I appreciate you bro and same goes for you! I'm trying to join that discord right now actually idk if you are a part of that or not.

Lovely Intro. Nice Build. As Nigel Tufnel of Spinal Tap taught us D minor is the saddest key of them all!
DustyLyfe
DustyLyfe replied 9th Sep 2024 - 1 year ago
Thank you :D Yes it is the saddest isnt it lol. Not everyone can hit those D notes well though and especially the B flats. So im more than feeling to transpose it to fit the vocalist. I'd do it myself but i feel like this track needs a females voice in my opinion and also in its current state its a bit outside my natural range.

Ive been thinking about making the switch from fl to ablation. U think its worth it?
DustyLyfe
DustyLyfe replied 8th Sep 2024 - 1 year ago
I started on FL wayyyyy long ago and honestly probably couldn't even navigate it anymore lol, in my experience ableton has been superior in basically every single way, but honestly it all comes down to just a preference man, when i first hopped on ableton my music flow was way slower than on FL but i learned it quickly since its way more user friendly in my opinion. They have free trials I recommend checking it out at the very least. It has basically every single feature FL has plus way more.

Hello
It is a very well done piece of music with excellent intro, I agree. Great leading synth. I d be more than curious to listen to your song with the vocals you have thought.
Wish you the best, Anthony

Thanks man! I would really prefer original lyrics if possible, but yeah if it ends up being that nobody is interested I may just do that lol.

Do you let anyone use your beats?
DustyLyfe
DustyLyfe replied 8th Sep 2024 - 1 year ago
Not just anybody no, I usually put my own vocals on my instrumentals or beats if I feel like my vocal style or tones fit the track but if it doesn't I'm not one of those musicians who will try and force it when my voice doesn't fit. So I'll usually just leave it as an instrumental and post it around to see if anybody gets inspired that has the proper range or tones I am looking for. So yes and no lol.

Crazy synthtworks I don't think you need any inspiration. Aaron is the man with the trap he has the drum works but this synth works right here the Melody's sick!
