you`re a wild man lostjoe3....this reminds me of the stuff my brother & I used to do in our parents basment while there was all this "Turn it down"hollerin from upstairs.....got that live..lets just play vibe big time....way to go....Ed
hahaha, my music is done live whenever i can find someone to work with me, and most of the time we do just go with it, then refine it , then record it to the best of are ability's... sometimes it works, sometimes it doesent..i just want to be original that comes from the heart.
thanks for the listen and review as always tumbleweed..
well muzicisme4ever,it is live-but done in my studio, with brent ross on drums and guitars,me with the vocals and bass, bob on harmonica. done in separate tracks, with the vocals added at a latter date(witch is how i felt at the time)hahaha
reason i didnt bring the vocals up, is they are a little flat and was to lazy to redo it----but maybe i will now that ive got some good reviews?
thanks for the listen as i allways appreciate!!
Sup Joe, Cool track man. Sounds like a country style blues. Deep thoughts and strong feelings you made into sound. It's one of those down songs that you move from side to side. I can see this playing inside a local bar with people hanging out drinking and not alone for a little moment. Keep up the good stuff Joe, Enjoyed the listen much. Have a good1. Peace!!
thanks djgadget, i know its not your traditional blues--but blue on the inside yes? And they do love it at open mic night here in town hahaha, although its was recorded live in the studio it still has that effect i was after...
thanks for the review djgadget much appreciated !!
i really like that chord progression in the beginning. the song has a kind of sunday bloody sunday feel, which is great. its very original stuff though. def a fav
thanks for the review cfactor, this song was really a game we do, i pick three notes to play the rythem and for how it sounds, then the next guy picks three or four notes--ect,ect,then come up with the words after the music is finished,,,,was easy since he was depressed.
a massive cloudbank - looming and distant but quietly engulfing - before you realize what has happened you inhabit this space - created by these three mysterians - awesome fav
thanks mstokes, i dont get to record with those guys very much so i was holding off to post this, but what the hell anyway, the very depressed dont care for my speed of life......hahaha
I agree with the other reviewers, this is straight ahead rhythm driven Rock...and now the lead comes in just right.
Hey...and A special applause that it was for your wife cause this is a cool song, and one for my wife would have to sound like Richard Marx,Rod Stewart or Jon Bon Jovi :)
Hey Joe3....very nice drivin bass & beats going on & like that little lead guitar break a bunch....sounds good on the N side of the border too...vocals could maybe be up a bit but you`re hitting it pretty close....keep on man....Ed
Nicely arranged, I like the general flow and the melody. However, and please don't be offended, I'm just being honest (constructive criticism), I believe that singing isn't something you can do best. When it's little distorted it doesn't sound too bad, however you go off the note quite often. All in all - nicely done, but I'd get someone else to acutally sing the lyrics.
well thanks for an honest review rootsrat, i only ask for an...... and thats O.K. i joind looperman so that i could find a singer, guitar player, drummer, cause i know i cant really do those things effectively---so if you know of anyone send them my way!
thank you so much, this is what i came up with when i was on vacation to lake erie, my first try at the keyboards, and happy birthday to you also, thanks for the listen!
Your memory is musically transposed here .... Once again proof that music is often the result of a feeling, a perception .... but not always easy to transcribe. Here is a success .... Thanks for sharing.
Thank you so much dan for the review, I never played the keyboard before and i'm glad i took one with me to erie. Everything i do does come striaght from the heart, I know i'll never be as good as you are, So a review comming from you espically means the world to me.
Respect man. If I may input (for what it's worth) the track is cool but the toms...if you could deepen them with lower mid and extra bass and make the snare tighten up so it pops she would be much better. I enjoyed her tho man...just needs a bit of polish.
Rat.
Yeah I know whatcha mean man. Great work considering.
Thank you ratty for the honest review , very much appreceated,But---the drums, guitar, and bass were all done live on one track- the only way i could get them guys to record a song together, for witch it really fustrates me like he can sing and play guitar, but ask them to do it on separate tracks and all of a sudden they cant do anything- know what i mean?
superb and human eyewitness accounts are what i always find in your musics and this extension of your reportorial range is drop-dead amazing - totally somethin else, but totally Joe - dam man!!!
I never played the keyboard before in my life untill that week in erie, but was glad i took it with me. The thing has everything in it that i used to make this track and realy i did'nt know i had it in me.I took a chance and i'm glad YOU liked it, thanks for the review, meens the world to me.
hope things are better for you. i really like this, could use it for a road trip that may get a little boring, this baby would spruce it right up, or some house work. like it.
Why every-thing is all right, MusicMee4ever, whats in the past it is what it is. But is funny how you mentchen about the road trip thing because the first part of that song is where i got the inspration from. thanks for the review.
nice guitar work dude, diggin that flowing bassline wow, got a revolting c_cks or red lorry yellow lorry drum beat but who cares eh - nice trippy guitars
Um...quite interesting. In the beginning there it sounds like popping, but as a vocalist, it sounds like it could be the person holding the mic moving it around. Is that a live band? I like that!
Hi MuzicIzMee4Ever, No it was the dass drum with a little efect added, When we did this song every one realy had there own agenda, there own sort of input so to speek, and thats how it all turnd out. It was done in one take musicaly with the voices donne in two takes- over lapping one another. Thanks for the review.
Thanks SERGEJ77 for the review, I was wondering when we would finnaly get to meet so to say, In about a couple of hours i will have one more to share since it seems that what i got the most hits on.
