Beautiful work my friend - lilting gentle beats and a warm pulse with soft melodic elements woven in and just a little bit triumphant and nostalgic sounding which is all absolutely fitting : )

The sound of the heartbeat with the spoken word gave me goosebumps man. That's awesome.
I like the idea of the track with the panned keys mimicking the heartbeat. Great idea. I do think the transition from the original heartbeat to the high notes (the C-F-C...C-G-C bit) is a bit sudden - I would consider to fade that in softer. You don't want to startle the baby, right? :)
And... congrats!!! Lovely track and I'm sure a lovely baby! (even if that's now 5, 15 or 25 years ago ;) )

After my son was born I distinctly remember looking up at the sky and stars and knowing for sure that Love was the principle that held the universe together and that without it nothing would work. This is a sweet wee track that somehow mirrors that.

Like it! Good stuff Kirk, but the first 30-50 seconds hardly register on my cheap inner ear phone headphones (that might be similar to what BoD is saying). Crank up some of the higher sounds a bit so people don't skip during the intro - because the rest is totally worth it!

I'm not sure how many basslines I have (400?).

Might want to brighten up the highs. I prefer multiband compression vs boosting an EQ, but either would work.

Also, put YouLean (its's free, though any mastering plugin should work) on the master and try to get the loudness between -14 and -10 LUFS, and you will have competitive loudness for Youtube and other streaming services (the track is a bit quiet).

Just some food for thought. Nice work, keep it up.

Wow, the mind fairly boggles at how many VSTs you had to use to produce this track lol. I really enjoyed that. It almost seems a bit lazy to say this, but hearing so many instruments from different cultures that we generally don't hear in mainstream music gives this piece an almost 'mysterious' quality to my ear. I'd love to hear you continue to explore this sound world.

Nice wandering bass for sure, but it's the almost tribal percs and the integration of the vox that do it for me. Some cool synth work too.
